  1. Looking very tasty there Fla, takes some amount of hours to do these wheels. I've kept mine on all winter, now the big brakes are fitted I'll be having to keep them on all year without fail! What polish and/ or wax do you use? I'm happy with Autoglym Super Resin and Collinite 476 hard wax. Your hard work on the car is certainly paying off, nice mate.

thanks guys, I'll let you know the outcome after Vag-Com.
  3. Got a feeling the guy is talking about the number plate surround in carbon fibre, not a spoiler that looks painted in the ebay ad. They were for sale on ebay for a stupid £150 :cuckoo:
  4. First time I've seen this build thread, great job you're doing there mate. Love the Nugget :luvlove: Nice touch with the door handles :notworthy:

I've just replaced both front ABS sensors after Vagcom said I have a fault on the drivers side front. Trouble is, the light still comes on after I drive off. I'm wondering whether you need to re-do Vagcom and reset the fault code to tell it they have been changed? Really not sure what I'm talking about, so help is greatfully recieved  I'm getting Vagcom plugged in sometime this week hopefully and find out more then, be so nice for it to be solved.
  6. Wow, awesome stuff there mate. A quick vid adds so much to the thread, just great to see it in action :luvlove:
  7. Just a few random pics taken today. Plus a couple of the new brakes as I was caked in grime doing the job and didn't want to mess up the camera.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Passat-96-00-1-8t-20V-Centre-Middle-Sunvisor-/320550572819?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa24d9313 nope, it's a pre 96 model passat, I'll dig out the number later but it'll be a 357 one (88-95 passat) I've only seen them on cars from about 1993-1995 so I don't think early passats had them. All you need to do is remove the centre light module (prise it out) then remove the two screws holding the sunroof motor cover in place, the sunvisior just clips onto the front of the surround. I saw the post about this the other day and was down at my local scrappy, found a 98 Passat. Ok might not be the right year for a Corrado production but the centre visor looked in good condition. I've got a few pics on my build thread showing it. Nice little addition.
  9. Looks good mate, nice to see another local car. I've been working near Okehampton, I'll keep an eye open for it. You can still buy the Corrado badge new, should be around £13 in primer ready for paint.
  10. Nothing, yet  Yours is very nicely OEM with a hint of +. I'm just doing bits and bobs and its nowhere near being a standardish car, so I'm not too worried about keeping it as original. I like to think so cheers matt, fair play mate, think you, Rob and me need to hook up for a mini Rado meet[/quote:25rt3hrs] Is shows in your work mate, very nice. Have you seen the thread about how many C's in Devon? On there, it says about all having a get together, should make it happen. I phoned you today to pop over and say hello, your useless phone was off again, hard getting hold of ya mate
  11. Hmmm, I wonder. I could help you out with the H & R's  It doesn't need lowering, it just amuses me when people focus solely on how low peoples cars are, most seem to miss how much hard work goes into the car. 'If it ain't scrapin, it ain't worth lookin at' and all that crap. Reckon yours is just about right height, got the looks and can drive on any road at speed without worry of imploding the sump

  13. Cough' KW V3's ' Cough :D Wound down all the way
  14. Haha cheers Chris, yours is too nice to be missing about with it like I'm doing  And yes, you can't beat the magic tree :)
  15. Just done a cheap (free for me :norty: ) mod today. Only a silly little one but something a bit different. A centre sun-visor, one that goes over the rear view mirror. Very annoying when the sun comes between the normal visors. This came off a 98 Passat, part number 3B0 858 555. It needs to be uncliped from the Passat headlining, very easy with a pair of grips. You don't need the clips that are on back of the visor as its not necessary to drill the Corrado lining. So I cut them off and just super gluded it to the strip above the windscreen. A 10 min job I reckon. Just a bit of fun having that on really, here's a few pics-
  16. Again, not bored in the least. Enjoy reading about life in the GTR fast lane :notworthy: BUT........we need lots of pics of everything to do with the car :norty: Good on ya having such a great car, hope you've not experienced any envy coming your way?
  17. Wheels like these would look wrecked in weeks in my ownership! Congrats on keeping them looking amazing mate. I keep thinking about how I need to be taken for a drive to experience how good this car is! Then climb back into mine and feel sad, ahh.
  18. Shame the mk2 is going Kip, someone is going to get an awesome condition motor. Wish I had a spare few grand lying around. Best of luck with the house sale. And now... Get on with the C! Haha.
