yes alingment is neccesarry, remember to mark up on the strut where it was, you`ll be able to get it close like that

:shock: jesus, glad you stopped with no probs!! there was a post earlier this week about this, i think on andi`s blog there was something similar, had the tyre been driven on low pressure before, i think that can cause degredation of the inner walls causing a blow out like this!! glad your wheels are ok mate! ben

i think its a 2.0 16v if it makes any difference! could be a dodgy earth, loose battery clamp on terminal? sure some more suggestions will be along soon
