hmm, when and what time was this? ive not seen you in bletchley... Well i've never seen another green rado in bletchley, infact the only other green rado in mk that i've seen is novastrikes and his is off the road pending sale...i may be wrong, but the times and days fit when i start/finish work, i just think its funny is all

Got a message from a guy who helps run Keyne on Dubs so i thought i'd check it out...having had a look at some of the 'spotted' threads where i have been 'spotted' they think im a girl! and a fit one at that! p.s. Im a guy :lol: (for those of you who haven't met me) 'decked mk5 on the a5 this after noon around 2ish and a dragon green rado on 17s with a fit blonde woman in the drivers seat in bletchley around 11ish' 'Slammed rado not sure what colour maybe dark green? Blonde bird driving - spotted 4th april going past bletchly bus station' 'Green Rado sounds like the one that picked some girl up from my work. Was it on BBS's ??' There isn't another green 'rado in Bletchley, i finish work at 11 so its definately me, my girlfriend used to work at Next where the above guy works and its on BBS's so clearly mine. I've just signed up so i can set the record straight more than anything, theres not many rados on there Oh and apparently 'yep lol i was abit suprsed to. shame about the rims looked abit chavy for my liking lol'....... Edit: Keyne on Dubs is a Milton Keynes based VAG club, i think they've also joined with BucksVAG

Fitted a new aeriel gasket, attached the wind deflectors (i dont think they look TOO bad...) took the cams and mani from my bargain KR engine ready to be fitted in my 9a and found that someone had dented my drivers door :cry: 100723_121541.jpg[/attachment:3tktrhl4]

Found a dark blue one just down the road from me, I live on Conway Crescent and the corrado is located on Warwick Rd! Its not got any plates and looks like its either a project or similar as its really dirty and looks like its not been moved in a while. Will knock on the house and ask! Im surprised I've never seen it before but i dont think its been there long.....might be wrong! Don't think it's anyone on here....

Will get the details to you and post some pics when i get collect the engine, as far as price goes im not sure, especially since i didnt pay that much for it...

Yeah i know its not cheap i had to replace the head on mine, i wasnt planning on swapping it with my 9a because obviously its 1.8 instead of 2.0 and would be 10% less capacity as you said, i just figured that the fuelling is easier to modify for turbo etc but as I dont have a lot of funds for turbo plus my Mini 1275 project I don't have the time. SO cams and inlet it is then Does anyone want a KR engine minus cams haha :lol:

Ok so I've just bought a running KR engine on the bay (from a guy i've bought stuff from before) because it was cheap and i plan on using the cams for my 9a...what should i do with the rest of the engine OR is there anything else i should do to it and transplant it with the 9a i've currently got.... Engine comes without alternator, gearbox, ancillaries, airbox, ECU, loom etc

Possibly just bought a KR engine to take cams and inlet from....just need to pick it up!

Reconditioned the distributor and replaced the oil seal so now it doesn't leak any more :D

Ok so I'm looking at changing my rear calipers because i've got handbrake issues and it only just passed the MOT. The re test isnt until December but while its nice weather and the evenings are long it is probably best to get it sorted now. I have a few questions to ask however; are all A3 calipers the same part no. or is there a date difference, and can i use standard Corrado discs and pads or do i need larger ones to fit the new calipers? My rear discs will need replacing due to corrosion in the grooves anyway (was an advisory) so it wouldnt be too much of an issue but i've got a set of new rear pads in the garage somewhere for the current 'rado calipers... Sorry if this has been asked before, i tried searching but couldn't really find anything! Its for a 16v btw if that makes a difference! Thanks! Jason

I had a standard 850 glt for a short time, lovely car to drive and once you get it rolling...... Yours looks immaculate! Didnt want to part with it but kinda needed the space :(

When I turn the steering wheel on full lock I had hear a faint clicking type noise coming from the front of the car (obviously something to do with the steering). It happens when I need to turn both directions on full lock....any ideas what it might be? Apologies if it's been mentioned before Thanks, Jason

Yeah might just do that, there was nothing picked up on the mot and im pretty sure that the smell was there before then but i will get it checked and report back

Well as far as i can tell there isn't a fuel leak (at least not at the pump end or under the car) there isnt any fuel on the floor or anything, i have had a few issues but they have been quickly resolved. I will look under the bonnet to see if everything is secure and that the lines arent cracked etc. The smell isnt coming from around the filler but from what i can tell its from the exhaust and it doesn't really smell in the engine bay either....The exhaust is a little bit sooty (but nowhere near as bad as my friends mini which is completely black!) so that it was also leads me to believe its rich If there aren't any fuel line issues what could it be and how could i resolve it? Thanks

OK i think my valver is running a bit rich as i can ALWAYS smell petrol whilst driving and before/after i start the car, if the front door (of my house) is left open after i start the car/come home then the whole house just smells of petrol.... What can i do to solve this/check to see if she's definitely running rich as its probably not wise for my wallet or the car! Thanks Jason

Hmm, dragon green was only available in 94, a tad confused now :?

All the greens came as pearl effect AFAIK... Edit: my mistake there was a dark green metallic

hmmm, i cant help but think that dragon green is the same as pearl green, from looking at the paint codes and the years they were used pearl green ends 93 and dragon starts 94...dubstar your VR in your sig looks identical in colour to my valver which is pearl, likewise with yours andrew... (dont shoot me! im not saying yours isnt dragon green) but its an easy colour to mix up and they may infact be the same colours, just different codes for the different years, i just dont want JNVR6storm to use the wrong colour!
