Bump! Is anyone else going to this? Like I mentioned before, my friend has a mini and belongs to a local mini club so they're all heading down there in convoy and I was probably going to go along too and was wondering who else might want to tag along?

Mines 2.0 on a J plate, standard engine

Not sure if anyone else has heard of this but basically its a delivery auction site. I happened to come across it as my mate and I were looking to get some car parts moved. Basically you put up an auction of the item you want to get shipped, its location and destination and I'm going to guess a maximum amount that you're willing to pay or something similar, then people who might be doing that journey get to 'bid' for the chance to deliver your item (and get paid for it obviously) It might be useful to some people on here.... http://www.imoveit.co.uk/index.php

What I find interesting is if your actually Polish and order it in Poland it is 168.99 PLN (Polish Zloty) which works out at around £30 yet for us Brits its 69 EUR which is around £56 :(

Done, although when i sent some out before (should have kept them now haha) it only cost about £3/4 to post at standard delivery

Ok cool thanks :)

Well if the OP doesn't want them (or you have at least 32) then I'll be willing to take them of your hand, for £10 they cant be worse than mine I suppose...

As the thread titles reads I am in need of a dizzy for a valver as mine leaks oil, I've replaced the oil seal and tried to recondition the dizzy but to no avail. So show me what you've got. Location is Milton Keynes, MK3 Thanks, Jay

Haha or they could sound like mine eh Dave and people will think its a diesel!!! Cheapest I've found is from a motor shop on the bay, but not sure if I should trust them. Would cost around £80 however the car isn't used everyday so might not be too bad....
-
yeah its not for cars with canbus....aka not canbus kit...
-
This could be good as my mate has a mini which has only just been put back on the road, although he really needs it to be sold...>.
-
Wait, doesn't it say its NOT suitable for cars with canbus wiring...
-
I'm curious, where did you get the board from and what does it look like from the back?

If its an engine bay loom why does the fuses for my central locking and windows blow? When I remove the loom from the fusebox the window fuse still blows didn't test the central locking fuse. EDIT: the fuse at the top of the fusebox which powers the windows is also coincidently a circuit breaker fuse which would make sense as to why that always blows... I think the blue and white is still ok but I haven't been able to remove the loom from the car yet. It only started doing it when I replaced the battery, perhaps a wire got trapped and is now grounding.... EDIT: ok tried the fuses with the loom not connected to the fuse box and they no longer blow however the socket G1 also has the wiring on it for the fuel pump....still yet to work out which wire has melted See pics EDIT 2: looking at the wiring diagrams it could be a number of things; colour wise it 'should' be black and it is pin number 4 which so far i have found connects to: - ignition coil, ignition booster (piggybacks H1 pin 4 black cable towards ignition switch) - piggybacks via fusebox into digifant relay #3 pin 3; fuel pump relay (relay works fine however as fuel pump works) - black cable for speed sensor Possibly more but i could have narrowed it down now to the speed sensor black wire however at the gearbox end it looks ok, or the ignition coil/ignition switch however car starts and everything runs fine from the ignition..... The plastic had melted all the way up to the fabric tape where it comes in through the bulkhead but I cannot be sure whether it has melted further through the loom. Access to it via the engine bay isn't easy and it cannot be done today, its raining and havent got enough time. My friend thinks we should just try and insulate the cable so i can use it till the weekend (i start a new job tomorrow and will be working 9-5 so need the car) when we can take the dash out and have a proper look however I dont really trust this method as like i said it could be melted further and using it is probably making it worse, also i dont know why it shorted in the first place :(

The sunroof switch cover is held in by 2 gold phillips bolts, cant remember how long but not very long! (Novastrike an ex corrado owner used a bolt too long and put a hole in the roof!!) Shim style bits are for the 'oh sh1t' passenger handle Long (about 15/20mm) block hollow bits with a lip go through a hole at the top of the B pillar trim IIRC Will get back to you about the last few bits

Wow random fuse fight. Anyway the fusebox cover doesnt list what else is powered by the top fuse....I did however find what is causing an issue. The socket G1 which plugs into the back of the fuse box has melted and one of the wires is bare for at least 20cm!!! Will post pics when i remove it. Im hoping it hasn't caused damage to the fusebox, however even when i removed it from the fusebox (haven't removed it from the car) and plug a fuse into the top holder it still blows....

HOW TO FIT RED ILLUMINATION SWITCHES
eugopnosaj replied to C488ADO's topic in [Archive] Wiki Submissions & Collaboration
1. Unsolder the socket pins from the board (6 solder points; 3 on each side on the longest sides) and you can remove the pcb from the holder. The pins are easy enough to unsolder especially if you've got a solder sucker, thats what I did. 2. Take some photos of your switches, doesn't help that I'm watching Ed Burn while writing this but without seeing how you've wired it up there's not much I can do to help you, however it sounds to me that you've crossed the wires somewhere, there will be switched power to the switch when you the ignition on hence being on without pressing the switch. The LED sounds like its wired correctly though; should only turn on with the lights on. You can get the clear bulbs from halfrauds, I wouldnt bother getting different coloured bulbs or using LEDs as the plastic ring is coloured. HTH! -
might get some until i can work out what keeps causing it to blow haha at least then i can unlock the car properly!
-
What else is on Fuse 21 and the one above the fusebox (cant remember which number it is) Both fuses keep blowing and I've no idea what it could be. I've checked for loose connections or stripped wires but cant find anything....without pulling the whole dash out anyway... I know that the MFA memory, windows, interior light and central locking are controlled by either of these as they now dont work but ive checked the wiring for that and cannot find an issue. Does anyone know what else these fuses supply so I can check those too J
