Disappearing Speaker Grills ???? Why ???
chubbybrown replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
you put your foot out and kick the speaker grille off ! well its like that on a mk1 anyway ! I got two spares off a write off after the owner askign me what I wanted. all I could think of was the speaker grilles  -

Biggrim, the cops in Scotland require two people/cops to charge you one to actually charge and the other to witness, so its probably how your mate got off without being charged, dont rile them alone as they just radio for a witness ( I know lol)
-
Hi Biggrim plod were out in clyde two nights ago doing the same thing. This equipment is very expensive so a higland copper tells me and obviously they are trying to justify it. I do notice that many cars have this 'privacy glass' as standard and no doubt bill and ben will avoid stopping range rovers as they above the law. the fecks....

Whats a good price for S/H Mk4 Rear Calipers?
chubbybrown replied to Ice White Socks's topic in Drivetrain
I hunted around for ages for 2nd hand ones and after all that for another £60 you can have new ones and piece of mind, you will also need adaptors to fit onto the original pipework, unless your a rougher... I fitted new ones in the end,you know what your buying and no exchange required from VW !!! I think the pipes are £23 well they were last year. Its a great mod,you wont believe the handbrake you have 8) -
Your probably better off with a trade policy for that kind of money thats shocking.... I think we pay £180 F.C

Recaro seats and interior, what are they worth?.
chubbybrown replied to red corrado16v's topic in Interior
Id like them more if they were a better colour. The early ford items were comfy and tastfully coloured in mk1 +mk2 turbos. they are comfy but for 600-800 quid Id expect to be waited on as well. I guess its supply and demand... -
Is it a DIY job,I suppose you need a press, but what about resetup ?

alternator/waterpump belt, keeps breaking 1.8 16v plz help
chubbybrown replied to bighairymuppet's topic in Engine Bay
I reckon a warped pulley if its throwing the belt -
Damn shame, probably the best colour combo too. I know you have another but I do know somebody selling a blackberry with leather, air con and headlight washers with 90k on it. I wouldnt want to imagine what would have happened if that was a clio. chubby
