Had an old wrinkly round at the parts dept asking for a new one as it wasnt reaching the oil,she also asked what the lio top was for at the top of the engine. Why would someone be so bad and change a dipstick on you
-
I've got one,its ok,not much flex on it and it does polish well. I used to clean cars years ago and compared to a smaller head you have to be careful not to lift the paint off or burn with this fella.

exhaust boucing off the rear axle?

I tried removing a centre section last night, that was peppered around the join. In the end as I had two new centre ones I had to remove that as well and refit, right bollox of a job matching old for new. Its the very front section of a valver thats the most expensive around £130. Pattern part wise you can buy a whole system for £270 delivered, still usnure if thats the front pipe though! http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/produ ... tpos=&max= at that price rather than buying a section a Magnex looks good value for stainless steel and getting the end you deserve! check bosals website too,I compared a bosal to a vw last night and they both might fit but theres No comparison,no wonder the Vw one has lasted 18 years. chubbz

Are they that bad? Luckily I dont have electric windows nor roof

I done my advanced test based on the system. If its an ex copper your going out with expect trouble, and find it hard to pass. I've also done the smiths american system, very good as well. they are both benificial and make you think. If people pass and then dont maintain thier dicipline thats thier problem. But I would add that some IAM members are rover wearing hat drivers Iam is like the cubs/scouts,pass on a certain vehicle and get a differant colour badge. Pupils are only as good as thier instructors Good luck Jet,you will enjoy it chubbz

scarlett I could be wrong but you mix copper and salt water and you get corrosion. Ive seen peugeots fail thier first MOT. My mitsi had an advise on last MOT for brake pipes so I just rubbed them down ( copper ) and greased them up passed with no advice at all. its just some wet n dry over the furred up bits then clart them with grease using a brush job done! http://www.infoplease.com/cig/science-f ... stest.html Cheers p.s some are plastic coated copper and they take longer to corrode Nearly all brake pipes are made from copper on new cars, they should take a while to corrode though, longer if they are covered with plastic or if your posh sleeved. Its not usually the Norm though,So I clart them with grease,it just slows down the corrosion process.

Waiting for a car to pass its MOT is like waiting for a baby. always had a pass, bar a main beam bulb on the dashonce; pissed the tester right off with chrishill telling me how to sort it,was backan hour later for its pass. shame they never noticed the other years as its never worked.... Break pipes are clarted in grease, that sorts that. AFAIK copper pipe reacts badly with roadsalt cheers

DR. Mat They dont charge v.a.t on plane tickets they have a flight tax instead,£10 for short haul and £40 for long haul. Planes are really only efficient when full, unlike some toss bag on a G4/G5 going stateside from here on 15,000 litres of fuel for three people that should be ruled out enviromentally, yet they killed the concorde.. I dunno... Vat is however only charged on internal flights for Jet-A1(5%) and avgas (17.5%). I like the old car but maybe one of these new electric smarts would be better all round for me as I dont go too far with either of my cars and bikes. Shame the smart dealer is over 100 miles away :gag:

F240BVV Corrado Press Car - restoration finished, what now ?
chubbybrown replied to JIMMI's topic in General Car Chat
Jimmy I think it looks great. As for value you never can tell. lets face it its going to be a lovely show item and I wouldnt sell it. I took mine to a show 2 years ago and they were 'showing' cars newer than mine and quite funny as the staring started as I rolled into the carpark, And No I dont have big tits ;-) Roy
