  6. Had a great day, thanks to all who organised the event it really was worth the 8 hour round trip, and also nice to stretch the raddos legs with some illegal speeds on the way home and a couple of tellings off from the Mrs, also managed to discover that my oil temperature fault seems to be electrical as when i turn my lights on the oil temp suddenly rises by 5 degrees so leading me to think its electrical! These events make me realise there is no way i will ever get rid of the corrado even though i get fed up at times with it...
  7. Blimey, just realised its over a 10 hour round trip for me and over £100 in fuel
  8. Audi s3 dullest car audi ever made? try driving an 80s audi 80! This post should read "anyone thats actually owned or currently owns an s3" he he. Under a grand spent on the suspension and even a stage 1 remap transforms these cars a stage 2 and big turbo gets near 400brake, There simple to work on and servicing is cheap if you diy, and coil packs are reliable now, How much would you need to spend on a corrado to bring it up to 400brake?
  9. You from my kneck of the woods vwvw, colwyn bay. just you mentioned all types
  10. The fuel economy is horendous on the subaru and the evo though, A mate of mine had both and just could not believe how bad they were even driven carefully, as with the 18t its not bad around town high 20s and easily into the high 30s on a run but only if driven carefully
  11. Kip, i had low emissions with mine on the last mot, just like your`s, the mot guy couldn`t believe it, he just thought it was down to the fact i had just rebuilt the engine and the head was like new, I wouldn`t worry about it as My mot guy is a mate and has been working with vw`s for years and said it was fine
  12. Great news kip, now when you take it out for a blast can you tell me what sort of oil temps your getting around town and on a run, still havent sorted out a rad for mine yet.
  13. A bit like me dingo, at 45 when i get up in the morning you wanna hear my moans and groans.. haha
  14. Mine makes a noise even when its sat idling like the belt is too tight and then on full lock, but it doesnt leak so its staying, i suppose its entitled too when its 20 years old, ha ha
  15. Not sure where to get a rad from yet kip, dont want a cheap one though, will let you know when i find one mate, I have enjoyed doing the write up to be honest kip and have a few ideas for future pieces too.
  16. kip the sensor actually made the readings higher, just cant chance cooking the engine, so a new rad is on the list as its an old one so try that first.. Half way through the sprinter piece now mate you wiil be pleased to know
  17. gonna have to give this a miss now! gutted, cant seem to sort out the oil temperature issue out, looks like new rad and oil cooler. more money...
  18. Looks nice mate, nice to see an original valver, not many left now
  19. Any ideas please on a oil temp issue with my 16 valve before i lose the remainder of my hair, ha ha, Iv`e been having this issue for a while now and have not been using it because of it, The oil temp on the mfa gets upto 126+ on a run and around town sits between 100 and 120, i have just been and bought a new sensor that sits at the back of the head and its now even worse as sat in the garage from cold it took under 5 mins to reach 60 then went up to 112 within 10 minutes of idle, the water temp reached just under 90 before the fans ran which then drops the oil temp a few degrees but goes back up as soon as the fan stops, the heat exchanger is only a couple of years old and have replaced the thermostat only a few months ago, im wondering if this is a mfa issue as when you pull the dipstick you can still bear the oil on your fingers. surely if it was as hot as 112 it would be too hot to touch. Any ideas would be great or anyones experience with a simillar problem

  21. Had a great day today, really enjoyed it and great to see the raddos all lined up and great to chat to everyone, shame i couldnt bring mine but the TT did me proud with good mpg and some silly speeds on the way home! Great pics eric
  22. So shaun your telling me that your standard VR is faster than a 250 brake 3.2 TT or a remaped 260/280 2wd cupra as these cupra are highly rated..
