  1. Ha ha, honestly you are dreaming
  2. Thanks, funny you should say about the leak from the spade connector as mine has just started, Thanks for clearing that up i will look into ordering the switch both of them now i think
  3. Ahh thanks for some reason i thought it was on the oil fiter housing as there are 2 switches there
  4. Trying to trace why my oil is getting so hot, Have just checked the ignition timing with a strobe and got that right, so now thinking of replacing the temp switch can anyone point me to which one it is and a part no, would be handy. Thanks
  5. Why dont you find someone on the TT or audi sport forum that is willing to let you have a drive of theres, imsure the audi sport lads would be willing, The 18t engine is not bad on fuel if driven with respect mine is mapped and does late 30s easily but only if driven normally and is heavy if driven hard, The 4wd is excellent in the wet but as kev says not as good as the jap stuff in the snow but works well enough and my TT got around every other 2 wheel drive car without any fuss! and i live on a hill and it flew up there no problem even with pilot sports on
  6. Sorry but absolute Rubbish, Haldex is a great 4wd system and would out handle any corrado im afraid
  7. Jim i will be going along the M56 if its anywhere near to pick up for you but will be in the TT but im sure it will fit in its poxy boot! determined to get to the agm this year but still haven`t sorted out a brake issue on the corrado
  8. There are some nice ones in black for sale on the TT forum for sale around a £100 i think
  9. Your right portent there are electrical gremlins but the dashpods can still be replaced free by audi if pushed but can be done cheap enough independently now and the window problem is a microswith in the door locking mechanism which can be fixed for a couple of quid if you dont mind stripping the lock which i have done, the haldex controller can fail but lots change them anyway for the blue controller which changes the 4wd split for more rear wheel action! There becoming quite cheap to repair if you can do it yourself otherwise expensive
  10. Audi have sorted that now! Recall or product enhancement as they call it, and they replace them free with the newer type other than that mafs go but they do on all cars
  11. The defcon kit is designed to put the feel back into the steering, apparently when the TT originaly left the factory it was very dynamic to drive until some idiot drivers drove it like idiots and flipped them so audi changed the roll bars for thinner ones to dial some understeer and put a ballast weight behind the rear bumper and a rear spoiler and esp, it gets slagged of but with a few mods to the suspension brings the feel back ---------- Post added at 3:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:50 PM ---------- Bushes are a piece of cake to do 2 sensors gone on mine in 14 months of ownership, crank sensor and lamda, not bad for a 10 year old i suppose and haldex issues very rare if oil and filter done every 40k and simple to do for the home mech
  12. Remap to 260/280 with a Revo map, suspension easily transformed with defcon bushes and R32 arb`s will leave any unmodded VR6 for dead and on the twisties also a wakbox conversion which costs nowt gives a nice noise from the engine granted not as nive as the VR but the woosh from the turbo makes it more fun, they are very able cars with afew mods and with a nice set of BBS lm`s are look spot on! My remaped TT is very quick and with a few suspension mods like H&R springs make it handle much better and even in standard 225 trim felt quicker than a VR6
  13. sorry to hear about this kip, hope you mend quick mate.
  14. Audi TT original polished comps with 225/45/17 michelin pilot sports 3 with at least 4mm tread and 1 with minimum tread all wheels are in lovely condition with no kerbing and only a small amount of laquer peel! these pics don`t do them justice as they are really nice and shiny, they are perfectly straight with no buckles and ride nice and straight and are all balanced up and ready to go and all hold there pressures well, im only selling these as i have recently refurbed some bbs rs2s and could do with some new tyres for them! Gutted really as the comps are a lovely wheel, Im after £400 and think there worth it all day long judging by some of the tat ones on ebay if you can find them as they are rare now! I can deliver them within a reasonable distance for whatever the fuel costs.. pm me or ring/text me on 07881554929 if your interested Now sold
  15. there is a regulator unit behind the drivers side rear quarter panel, this will probaly be you fault, had the same with mine, replaced it with a second hand one and it was fine then

  18. i think your right rusty. my rad seems clear so dont think its that and the oil cooler is fairly new and the rad fan comes on at the right temp so hopefully its the temp sender
  19. I have the same issues with mine! Changed the heat exchanger and oil temp still reads high
  20. Im going to be refurbing some sebrings shortly and am trying to get the original colour code for these rims, where would i find this? anybody any ideas please and am i right in thinking these wheels came with 185/55/15 tyres?
  21. I don`t think there that cheap to be honest, mate of mine has just bought a VR 100k chains and clutch done full history needs some welding on the sill and a bit of tidying £450! shockingly good price
