  1. yes my friend has an electro plater. bought from the states for £1000 , gold plating, copper plating,silver plating.
  2. ive got it, i think you may of snapped the wundruft key off on the cranck shaft and the pulley is spinning but the crankshaft is not just the pulley turning on the crank,take the belt off, and can you spin the crank pulley with your hand?
  3. this is a good one. obviously i dont know how competant you are about mechanics,? so first things first talk me through what you have done so far! is the belt taught, is the tensioner tight. im struggling to see how this has occured.
  4. vw never made them in black, youll be best off, covering them, alcantara or dye?
  5. you cant fit new hinges without cutting the old ones off and rewelding new ones on, bodyshop didnt really want to touch it, alignment would be a sod.
  6. why do vw make 50mm splitter obsolete but not 90mm, it sucks i too really need a splitter 50mm type

  8. pics say a thousand words. what work has been carried out ?chains ,clutch, condition of interior ect, prices are up and down at the mo.
  9. ah good old bowden cables , for the time you spent struggling, you could of taken part dash out,and get straight on top of it, i dont know anyones thats managed it with taken the center console out.
  10. looks great, i too have a mystic storm, and the colour looks awsome, its great to see another enthusiast looking after a storm. im hoping to get fresh paint in the nxt year or so, wallet permitting.nice work!!
  11. can you hear the fuel pump prime? have you got fuel up to the metering head? how much fuel did you put it? if it went completely empty , i would a least put 3 gallons in, 3 jerry cans. also check all of your vacuum pipes to see if they are split or come adrift.

  13. big question ! firstly how far do you wanna go ? all the bushes,? new dampers ,springs? coilovers? what work has been done on the suspension already? how many miles has the car done? what condition are the bushes in? from my experience.i figured that it was a 15yr old car with little history on suspension work. my lower wishbone bushes were split, instead of new bushes i bought 2 new arms, and this came with the front arm bush too. ball joint are seprate, but well worth doing as the car dosent seem to wonder, and worn ball joint are also missed /hard to spot on mot. again top strut mount, you can see if they need replacing, there was a topic not long ago how to identfy dead top mounts. rear axle bushes , pretty much every corrado ive owned have not been replaced, and they all were looking perished and tired, replaceing these will make the rear end feel firmer in the bends , and give the car the rear steer feel back again instead of letting go!! as for dampers, if they are leaking replace them, replace them in pair if they are, or replace them all , all this work should make the car feel 100 percent better it depends how much money and how far you wanna go. all i can say is every time i replaced or renewed suspension components it felt better an better/firmer /precise feel.

  15. i bought a drivers side seat belt for just short of a 100 quid 2 years ago, i cant believe they would make something like this obsolete, idiots!! looks like another part to add the classic vw site, to get them to try and remaufacture them.
  16. ive got a brand new factory immobiliser for corrado,still in the box if your interested.

  18. dont break it, remember the good times you experienced with the c, i to got into a state what to do, sell, and i almost did, and now im soo glad ive kept her, its sort of a roller coaster ,love hate you know, but driving another car than the c , does make you want the c back, im sure ppl can sort you out with parts on here, unfortunatly running a c , is exspensive. its just one of thoe things
  19. right on, think im gunna drive up for day prob the saturday, gunna have to re-insure the 8v for a week or so. i have really missed driving the c, but the vrs is soo smooth and fast, but lacks character , !! storm still need tons of work, timing chains and stuff, so i dont wanna run the risk,.

  21. i have a lower section underneith the geargaitor in black early type it has 4 screw holes in the passenger side of it.but should be ok if you wrap it in leather. can get a pic if your interested.
  22. i bought the last one in the factory today, so it will go back order, so it will be a little while, it will come from germany.
  23. here the abs ecu, one pin has completely corroded off, and the relay have lots of corrosion inside, hopefully i can source a good abs ecu off here for not too much, relays will be here next week
