Back on the road again !!!!! Shame on you for leaving the poor old girl for so long lol . I think you will find it easier with just the two now mate. I will pop up for a coffee soon . Can I have my battery back now please lol , only joking , glad to help . -
Looking great Goldie . I'm at a similar stage to you ATM . I have so many parts in the shed for the underside . I removed my bushes , took a while but I got there in the end . Just waiting to send the beam off . Looking forward to seeing your car one day .

It's not fitted Jim . Rapped up in the garage .

Coming on well Jim , I would re rap any old wiring while you can get to it easily . Edit . I would have thought the six branch would be a good gain ? if the gases are escaping quicker its going to give you more power .

Sorry for intrusion of the post . I could not help noticing the Genesis page . This is the second post tonight that's making me feel my age lol . I remember going to that concert . -
Thanks for making me feel old , I remember these being new ! . Can't be many left now James . I was driving around in the Corrado the other day and saw a Opel manta GTE , haven't seen one of those on the road for years !
-
Not sure about using that . Go to bnq or somewhere like that and buy some thick plastic sheet , double sided tape , job done .

Anyone want to buy the Ashes to ashes Quattro?

Stunning , love it ! -
Sorry by shot i meant rusted to death , as Sean says this is what happens . You will proberbly need a new screen too . If it was leaking and theres not much of the pillars left , the fitter would have have put loads of sealant in place to hold the screen and stop it leaking . It therefore makes it very difficult to remove and they break . I found this out when mine went into be painted . I had no leaks , but the pillars were rusted away . I got my new ones from VW but i dont think they are available anymore , as said they will have to be made up .
-
My first thoughts are the pillars are shot . This occurs from poorly fitted screens . If you purchased the car and found that this was the problem , you would need a trip to the body shop , have them cut out and replaced . I'm not saying that this is definitely the problem , but it seems likely .

We all get tired of owning the corrado sometimes . The amount of times I've thought "that's it I've had enough" . I walk away n leave it for a while and the love comes back . I can honestly say though , every time I leave for work and come home it always turns my head as I walk past . They do say if you can't lock the door and walk away without looking at it and thinking "what a motor , I love it " then you have the wrong car . I've only been into VW's for 7 years ( work requires a van ) I could never afford a toy , till I got divorced lol . So I can't really comment on the build quality of the old school stuff , only my VR . We have a 04 plate TDI which is great , pulls like a train and no rattles or squeeks . My old T4 is great too . I once had a lift in one of those Clio sport thingies , way to much power for some thing that was made from a coke can . Frightened the life out of me .
-
I could do with this on my car . Lovely finish .

Just watched this , damn good riding !
-
Welcome along . Congrats on your purchase . Plenty of help and advice on tap here .
-
The only way to tell is by plugging it in to a vagcom . Unless you know how to use a multi meter .

I'm afraid it's down to a repair Ron . Or a decent second hand one and treat it with furniture clinic products . There are no new ones left now ,it's a deleted part .

I looked at flea bay yesterday , £119.00 for fogs with cracked fittings and other problems , Christ !
-
Sounds great if it comes off . I will stick my neck out here though and end up being shot down . I can't seem to get into F1 . WRC is more my bag . I think it's great to watch although because of the stages , you don't get to see the whole thing , unlike F1 . I regularly watch the VW team on the net .
