I actually thought they were body coloured in the centres, and gold dishes... I might get shot for this, but actually reckon that'd look pretty sweet on a dark coloured Corrado like yours.
-
Stand looks good - setup today. Spent bloody hours giving the car a clean and polish to try and make it look presentable.. some absolute minters though on the MK1 and Scirocco Register stands! :) Hope to see some of you over the weekend - I'll be loitering around the CCGB stand as much as possible.

How soon would you need the bumpers collecting? My geography isn't that hot and I didn't realise Glastonbury was quite so far south.. :|

[FOR SALE]VW Corrado VR6 Unfinshed project £750
Jim replied to Yandards's topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
Sorry to hear you've got to throw in the towel on this one Yan! Like you say, it seems like a really straight VR and just needs tidying up now and getting back on the road. Hope you manage sell it quickly / painlessly enough. -
Welcome to the forum - your English is very good and I can understand everything you're saying. Do you have any pictures of your Corrado, or your fathers Corrado?
-
Music to the ears :) What a machine :)
-
That sounds a very fair deal.. assuming they're straight I'd take them, but will have to arrange a time to come down and see you at some point to pick em up!
-
Especially frustrating given the great position we only managed to get three Corrado's for the stand! The amount of footfall at this show is incredible and if you enjoy showing off your car and chatting to folks about your car, it's THE show of all shows.
-
Never understood how short sighted some people are with their adverts.. surely you'd put as much information in there as possible for multiple reasons like it shows you actually care about the car (as you know everything about it!) and it answers questions people might have, so they don't need to waste time contacting you..

Is either the front or rear bumper still available and what are their conditions (plastic & paint) like?
-
These should still be available from the dealer for not much money :) Comes bare metal. I bought one several years ago and painted it at home.
-
The only thing I'm suspicious of with those is the 12 sided hub nut that GKN supply is all metal. The genuine VW one has a plastic/nylon inner seal. I ended up refitting using the VW ones which I'd bought seperately (not expecting the CV joint to come with its own nut) but would be interested to know why the VW nuts differ from the aftermarket ones.

I recognise the number plate but don't remember who's car it was / is...

That's his username that dragongreen mentioned, Wendy - yes he is on here! :)

I can't imagine what sort of paranoia one must have to not let people be aware that they browsed certain threads.. jeez!
-
Looks very clean for the age, and not many
-
Ooh - cool - I'll keep an eye out for those then!
-
Great to see companies still springing up to support the venerable G60 with great kits like this - nice one :)
-
Thread cleaned.

OK - I'll help you this time ;) Drivers footwell - the little shelves under the dashboard. To the right, near the bonnet release you should see that the rightmost tray is held in with two twist / push clips... simply remove those and then you should be able to pull that out revealing the fusebox!
-
Not having the best of luck with that car :( Glad you managed to fix it relatively hassle free!
-
You're right - the search function is, frankly, pants. My top tip that I'm telling folks on here these days, is that you can do your searching with Google... if you go to Google and in the search box type: site:the-corrado.net So for example: site:the-corrado.net vr6 not starting You should find far more relevant results returned to you than if you use the built in version :)

I always wondered about this but never thought to make a thread about it.. and it happens exactly the same if you have your headlights on and then you squeeze the high beam switch but then don't let it go - the lights are MUCH brighter. As soon as you let it click back into position, the brightness drops significantly. So it's like it momentarily goes into some much higher power mode. My car doesn't have a loom fitted - just original headlight wiring.

I'm going to gamble on fuel pump relay or a fuse myself. The fuel pump doesn't run until the engine is started, however you should hear it prime the system upon turning the ignition on. Worth using the search to answer your other questions too (e.g. fuse box location) - a lot of this stuff has been answered a gajillion times as it's often the same questions coming up :)
