  1. Check these guys out: http://roosemotorsport.co.uk/ They did a group buy earlier this year (I think it was) and created some VR6 coolant pipes based on those sent to them by a member on here. I think feedback on the quality of them was quite positive? As David says, you could get reamed with import tax and besides, who knows what the quality will be like - plus dealing with a company on the other side of the world might be problematic in the event of problems..
  2. Amazed at how many new users are suddenly showing up.. been loads in the last few days! Welcome to the forum! :) Get some picutures up!
  3. As David says, Stealth Racing are a good shout. Alternatively DG Autotech in Kidderminster do wheel alignment too - and every time I've had it done there the car has felt perfect. Both are not an unreasonable distance from you :)
  4. I think this is about the fifth time this has been posted! Linking & locking.. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=83023
  5. Weird timing as a friend of mine just posted up on Facebook that she was in a car accident today and suffered broken bones too.. spooky. Anyway - glad to hear you got out of it relatively unscathed, and glad to hear the old Corrado held up OK. Very sad to see another one taken from the roads, because of someone else's fault but at the end of the day you're OK and the car is insured. Hope to see you in another Corrado next year!
  6. Welcome! Sounds like a peach! Where abouts in the Midlands are you?

    full respray

Get the windscreen out and check for rust around the A pillars / windscreen surround... makes sense to get that tackled whilst it's in!
  8. Looks like it's sporting Audi TT 16" alloys? Looks pretty clean from the pictures! :)
  9. I think it's also worth adding that engine work aside, cosmetically this car is superb. The paint is in brilliant condition the whole way round. To build a Corrado to this condition would cost you far more, so should be a no brainer for anyone consider going for a VR6 Turbo. I've said it several times already, but its a real shame you're moving on Dave.
  10. Welcome aboard and welcome back to Corrado ownership. Look forward to seeing some pictures of your Storm, and also be interested to know what the plans are for what needs fixing? :)
  11. That'd be awesome. As I say, I'd use them for the company to scan, etc and then send them back to you. Are they completely in tact or do they have broken clips?
  12. Hey - welcome to the forum! Where abouts in Warwickshire are you? I'm in Kenilworth..
  13. If anyone is willing to send me a set (either individually, or whatever) I would be more than happy to look into getting some reproductions made, and obviously return them once copied / scanned. I've no idea of costs or anything else of that nature yet however so impossible to estimate what a set would cost potentially..
  14. I'm really quite interested in getting some of these re-manufactured - I have a very decent company lined up. I just need an unbroken set to use as the templates and don't want to risk removing mine for fear of breaking them!
  15. Just order from Volkswagen themselves. I'd be surprised if this is an obsolete part yet - I recently ordered both the high and low pressure senders from Volkswagen which sit in front of the oil temperature sensor on the oil filter housing. Be warned - you're in for some fun getting to it, and swapping it as access is extremely limited :)
  16. The stupidity of some people never fails to amaze me. I heard about these tribute cruises to Paul Walker a few weeks back from a Corsa owning friend.. it only seemed inevitable that this sort of thing was going to happen. Wonder if he'll now just claim on his insurance for the fact his car blew up and burned out? Seems likely.
  17. Yeah - low mileage and Recaro's are a big plus, but the auto box is a real downer..
  18. I am part of the committee for the CCGB and have to say this is right. If you only want a forum then this place is great. If you want more in terms of community / meets side of things you might want to consider CCGB membership. We have a dedicated events manager who dutifully organises stands at a large number of shows throughout the year and we even have our own National Day.
  19. Well apologies to any potential bidders. Guess we should have kept our mouths shut!
  20. I think he means the trim that runs from the ash tray, underneath the handbrake up to the gearstick surround...? :)
  21. Just been walking into Coventry and was near the Village Hotel and Hearsall Common when I heard the sound of a deeper than normal exhaust note only for a nice clean, standard looking Blackberry VR6 on standard Speedlines, on an N plate come rumbling past me. It's always annoying how often I see Corrado's when not actually in mine, or out walking.. and looks like this was another one of those times.
