I'm trying to remember from when mine was broken.. pretty sure mine would prime too and them simply not start. Out of curiosity, try turning the key and then when in the actual car starting position try wiggling it around a bit and see if anything happens? You can test it relatively quickly - buy a new switch and simply connect the wiring loom to the new switch rather than fitting it, then try turning the ignition switch and see if the car starts. A new one isn't serious money - 26 quid I think. Don't buy a preowned one or anything - buy a new genuine VAG one.

It lives directly behind the ignition switch / key and to get it out is a bit of a game as its held in by a single screw which is remarkably hard to reach. If you do a search there are various guides and discussions on the replacement process, tips on accessing it, etc.

Have you ever changed the ignition switch on your car? It's a very well known weak spot on the Corrado and will basically result in you not being able to start the car in exactly the way you describe..

Listing this on behalf of a friend of mine! He built this bike a year or so back, and didn't quite get the sizing right and subsequently has barely used it. Now looking to move it on rather than letting it sit collecting dust! Spec is as follows: Frame: Guerciotti Record (red) 54cm Wheels: Mavic Open Pro with Ambrosio Zenith hubs (hand built) Groupset: Campagnolo Veloce (10 speed) Headset & Stem: Miche 1" headset & Kalloy Quill stem 80mm length (25.4mm clamp) Handlebars: Silver Alloy Drops (43cm) - can't remember make, generic-ish. Seat post & Saddle: Kalloy silver 300mm, Selle San Marco saddle By my reckoning the bike has seen less than 100 miles of tarmac but has been standing about a year so would benefit from a tune-up. The only potentially negative point is that the seatpost wasn't great for me, I couldn't secure the saddle enough to stop it slipping back when riding, perhaps just affects the heavier rider. Spent around £1200 at the time buying all the bits (all new) to build it up. Honestly not sure what to ask now so I'll say £550. Collection from Warwick or willing to drive/meet within about 20 miles. Would prefer that over messing with arranging courier etc. PM me and I can pass on contact details for my mate :) Cheers.

You will get a copy with your membership pack when Ian sends it out to you :) As I've said to other folks there will be a bit of a hold up thanks to a miscommunication with the printers but we should be able to get them out in a few weeks!

Very nice to get such nice feedback - thanks :)

Glad it was a quick, easy sale mate.

The guys who still have yet to pay - could you let me know if you are still intending to come and just let me know when you'll be able to pay. Every person on the list needs to come in order for the rolling road day to happen so I need to know in advance if it can still happen, or whether I need to start refunding people. Thanks.

Ah - well in that case I apologise. Just on the defensive as these threads always seem to descend into a slanging match. Apologies tonytiger!

Removed - I'm an idiot.. sorry.. You could say that :) It's long, drawn out, complicated, and discussed what seems like every 6 months :(

Have you seen the group buy going on right now for Schimmel Performance SP263's and a special offer on bespoke remaps from Stealth Racing? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=83373

To be honest I'd just settle for finding good examples of these panels regardless of colour, then get them resprayed..

2013 Group Buy SP263 Cams From Stealth Racing
Jim replied to Vince@Stealth's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Shame it's had so little uptake. If I didn't already have 263's, I'd be all over this. -
I was planning to write a small article about it :) If anyone is handy with a camera who's coming along, and fancies helping me out and getting some of their pictures in print, it'd be very much appreciated.

I must try this 10w50.. I read mixed opinions about it on forums, saying it's just too thick for the VR though so was a little concerned changing from my trusted 10w40 Synta Silver, but have seen it mentioned several times on here so it's got me interested!
