  1. What screens do your guys use then Kip, now that VW ones are obsolete? :(
  2. Just wondering how one went about getting the VWM VSR originally. Were they sold as an option when you bought the car at the dealer, or was it something you bought seperately?

    tow eye cap?

Cheers mate - good spot. I think that's bigpants baby who is / was a member on here..
  4. Welcome aboard! Corrado's do get under your skin.. many many repeat owners on here (I'm on my 4th!)
  5. Another local :) Quite a few of us in the West Midlands & Warwickshire - welcome aboard :)
  6. I'd be looking to get an inspection / professional opinion on what's going on before booking the car in for that kind of work! Welcome to the forum btw :)
  7. Just for those who don't know about these and are uncertain - Matt did an absolutely sterling job on arranging the purchase and distribution of these last time - buy a headlight switch from him with absolute confidence. Most importantly, the switches are excellent quality and in fact something of an upgrade over the old ones. Headlight switches on the Corrado are a weak spot / known problem so this should be an essential purchase for any Corrado owner to put away on the shelf for the day when their one breaks :)
  8. Did you swap out the heater matrix whilst you were at it? Would have been a worthwhile job if not as these are a known weak spot on the Corrado!
  9. I think as these seem to be sold or are being sold it might be best to lock this up before it gets any more out of hand. Presumably the rest of the sale can be conducted over PM - John, let me know if the sale falls through and I'll re-open the thread.

    100 pound car

Bearing in mind that a car is worth about £200 in scrap.. I think you have no chance of finding a £100 car!
  11. I've done two heater matrix jobs with friends now - and actually once you get into it and get the electrical stuff out, and make sure you label everything up, it's not too terrifying. On one car we left the dash in, and on another we took it out. It did come out of the car which we left the dash in but we did have to get fairly heavy handed - enough that, if I were doing the job on my car, I'd take the dash out! Provided you're reasonably patient and methodical it is not too hard to get everything out - just time consuming.. set aside a weekend to do it!

    tow eye cap?

Anyone got more of these? Need one for my Corrado too :|
  13. As far as I'm concerned, PistonHeads should be for enthusiasts of all cars.. not just those with bloody supercars :| So they can chuff off :)
  14. Thanks for the tip off! Always wanted to go to a Sunday Service but always missed it.. added my name to the list so will look out for you! Means I need to get the Corrado back on the road and taxed now... ;)
  15. Spotted Lhotte at services near Cambridge on the A14 earlier this evening. Had just been to the football there and was on my way home.. squinting in the dark I saw a Corrado, saw the number plate (which I remember as it was RobyD's old Corrado) and saw the lady driver - I stood staring as you drove past, almost wanted to flag you down just to acknowledge you as another forum member but decided against it! Proceeded to then explain to my friend, who was alarmed at how I knew exactly what Corrado that was, the recent story about the Golf owner with the poor chatup lines at the petrol station!
  16. This really needs saving and sounds like an easy projects for someone!

    what to do??

£175 a month for a lockup? I should count my blessings that I only pay £25 a month!
  18. Be prepared. And I mean it. Follow the advice of the guide books and take the right equipment - do NOT go up there in casual wear. I can't stress this enough. As you may have read in The Sprinter, I drove two friends around the UK to do the Three Peaks Challenge culminating in Snowden. Despite it being the middle of summer the conditions were atrocious - my friends were well prepared and had walked Snowden several times and came back soaked through. I'm not trying to be overly melodramatic but.. seriously.. pack the right kit.

    Unusual.......

Looks like the kind of colour you'd find on a Polo. A change of wheels would help but really not sure that works on a Corrado at all :(
