Have to admit I always found Doom III a bit too nerve wracking to play for any amount of time! :)

It's incredible what sorts of cars you can buy under £10,000 these days... I know the 996 has gotten there now, good examples of Boxters, M3's, M5's, Audi S4's / S6's / S8's, etc... it's mental. I bought an Octavia VRS for the same money I could have bought a good E39 M5 for but was terrified of potential expenditure so figured the Octavia was a safer bet! :)

"Do you hear me talkin', hill-billy boy?" Heheh...

If your old G60 was only standard spec, then the VR is definitely quicker! :)

With the greatest respect Baz, if the guy was going through some personal problems or some other reason that prevented him from posting the lights all he had to do was reply to the original poster and just explain what was going on and why there was a delay. Most people are reasonable about these sorts of things if you just communicate with them! I can totally understand why he thought he was being scammed. I feel that the witch hunt was fairly justified, based on the information that's been posted so far. But thanks for stepping in and helping get this resolved. Very good of you.

Sadly this sort of thing happens once a year or so :(

I'm currently driving around with a space saver AND a full size spare in the boot of my Corrado.. :)

That's more than a little alarming - the G60 oil filter is specific to the G60 (I think). Might be worth trying to find a supply somewhere and stocking up :|
-
What a complete tosser - and a coward. I hope you manage to get something sorted somehow - this is the problem with forums and so forth.. you never know if you're dealing with straight up people or losers like this! :|
-
Yeah... but thinner oil shouldn't be setting the oil warning buzzer off as soon as you start the car :| Something not right there at all!
-
I can't honestly say I've ever seen a pair of aftermarket sideskirts that work! :|
-
That was Guy Hartleys car - it's safe to say that no expense was ever spared on that motor and anything it needed, it got. Was one of my all time favourite Corrado's and great to see it's still in good shape.

These Jimmy Saville allegations will never end - now they're saying that Jeremy Beadle had a small hand in it!
-
That'd be pretty awesome - I love the 2.0 TFSI engine in my Octavia VRS. I can only imagine how much of a riot it would be with some fettling, and then shoved into a significantly lighter car! Total animal :)

Is it Twilight Violet? Car looks great bud :) Would benefit from a slight drop on the suspension though I reckon :)

Beige leather Recaro's will help you get towards 3.5k I'm sure! I'd say it's probably worth that on a good day.
-
Most i5's out there now will have quad cores instead of dual cores so will be even quicker. Windows 8 isn't available yet and I wouldn't rush to try it as I think there will be a number of issues with it regarding legacy or older software.

Nicely done :) Glad you decided to stick with original! I look forward to seeing some pictures when it's all done..

Anyone going Santa Pod on Sunday? VR6OC club stand spaces available

Yeah I can see the picture - but I can't read the inscription. What did you actually win the trophy for? :) -
It was on the standard G60 BBS's the last time I saw it :)

I have to admit to being a bit concerned at one point - about 1 minute into the fall when they were still viewing him with the infra-red camera - he was tumbling like a rag doll! Then he seemed to hit some actual air where he could control his descent a bit and then he levelled out..

What was your trophy, Eric? :) Well done on the win!
