Worth the trip down to see someone who knows what they're doing!
-
Curious. The spoiler on my VR definitely activates at nearly enough exactly 56MPH on the Speedo... so does sound like something is amiss. Could you pick up a cheap set of clocks and try them out as the first option?

Looks like a good project to get stuck into. Welcome back :)

Looks great on the black NATO :)

I believe the lume on those particular models is pretty good at night, Vorn. Try this place for your watches - have ordered several through them with no problems and includes tracked and insured Fedex in the price - you'll struggle to find them cheaper anywhere else: http://www.creationwatches.com :)

One day.. one day...

To be honest, if I see a car sitting neglected on a drive way and collecting moss, then I'd consider it to be unwanted and fair play for a knock on the door and an enquiry about a sale.
-
Why not put a note in the window that says Not For Sale? Might stop people asking about it.
-
Precisely my thoughts. And then makes out like he's doing the world a favour by putting this "example" up for sale. Always gets on my tits!!

Cheers Andy... sounds like it might be time for a trip to see Vince or Graham! Don't fancy tackling that myself!
-
Cool - cheers Kev.

No.. it doesn't smell like normal sweet exhaust smell. It smells more "dirty" I guess would be the word?
-
Anyone else? :(

Indeed. I have standard discs and pads on my 288's and I really haven't ever felt short of stopping power! And they seem to be lasting for ever. The discs look like new still and have done about 20k since they were fitted!

I have had a very weird tapping / clicking noise for a while with my VR6 which has been driving me crazy.. could explain it!
-
Sounds like something is running in the background and it's not handling the task properly. It might be worth doing a full backup of the phone (apps, etc) and then doing a restore on it to wipe it totally :(
-
Sounds like the classic immobiliser problem again - another vote for that from me. If the car starts and runs as normal for like 1 second then just cuts out, then it's likely to be it.

I took my VR out for a pootle the other day and decided to stretch it's legs a little once fully warmed up and I was surprised to realise that with the window open a smidge, I could really smell exhaust fumes when I gave it a good burst of acceleration. I'm pretty sure the exhaust system is good - it's only a few year old genuine VW VR6 system and really does not sound like it's leaking anywhere. Could this be a symptom a crack in the exhaust manifold gasket or something similar? Cheers.

Good price! Should be an easy sale.

I never get the time to do my own cars... so you've got no hope! :)

Heheh :)

Is that the red leather Recaro interior that KADVR6 made?

Here's a little something for corrado_sunderlands amusement :) http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Jimmy-Kimmel-Apple-iPhone-5-video-youtube,17597.html

I used Corrado's as daily drivers from about 2001 through till around 2010 and honestly they were utterly reliable. I broke down once in all that time (and probably about 60,000+ miles of motoring) and that was down to my own stupid fault driving though a flood - and even then the car "fixed" itself! They're very reliable if you look after them :)
