changed the o/s headlight as it was cracked and water leaking in. took it off and it fell to bits! cleaned the other glass up popped it on, good as new!

doors need to be able to be opened from the outside other wise it wont pass an mot, unless you know an mot'er or course :)

according to my "volkswagen parts club application guide Effective 12 feb 2007" water pump - 037 121 010 bx - apparantly there all the same apart from the VR6 V-belt - 038 903 137 j power steering belt - 037 145 271 not sure which one it runs off guessin the v-belt only got part numbers for rocker cover and cyclinder head sorry. Si.

i guess they just fit up into the window channel?

decided i want some wind deflecters for the G. had a quick look on ebay and seen a few people selling them but just wondered if any one has any recomedations where to get some from. Si.

if he's trading it then wouldnt bother with insurance. get a high quote. if the guy aint happy tell him to "i'll go through insurance then". should the get the cash. got it bodged. trade it in.

still not sure. depends on car then and how much to get it fixed. when some one hit me and wanted to pay cash i went to the most expensive body shop i could find got a quote on paper. got paid. then got it done somewhere cheaper instead.

cool cheers for that i read it was a meter long. so if i bought some 3mm bore vaccum hose you recon that would go on without causin any problems?

know its a bit daft but does anyknow the internal diameter of the vaccum pipe which hoes to the ECU on a G60?

depends on the damage i would say, but if both front and back end are damaged it would prob go down the insurance route

yeah will do the water pump but was gonna wait till put a new cambelt on. ideally would like to get it cam'ed up and do the pump and belt all in one go.

yeah gonna get new flanges to, rad block and thermostat housing including all washers from VW £42

Cool cheers for the advice. Want to put a new rad on at the same time so that sholud help with the extra room. Also will be doing it on a ramp will should help a bit.

my girlfriend just got hers through for the golf and thats got up £110 quid. fair enough she now only has 1 years no claims but thats still 1 more than she had last year. talking to a few brokers and they were telling premuims have gone up 30% this year and due to go up again next year! what a load of old bollox! not lookin forward to my renewal next month.

cool bet it looks loads better now. thats why i got a G60. i had a similar colour 16v rado and tbh never seen another quite like, will find a pic. sold that to get a G40 and frikin loved it. but my girlfriend started to learn to drive and i couldnt get her insured on it so unfortunalty it had to go! :( few years later!! getting fed up with the saxo (bought it cheap and it was cheap insurance) and bought myself a G60 hoping it would be like the G40.... and its not! imo two totaly different cars. like the G60 cause its more refined, smoother and a bit more grown up. the G40 was violent, handling wasnt up to much and it made me feel a bit young drving as it came across as a K-reg polo BUT was bags and bags of fun and still want another at some point. got a bit carried away there sorry!

Yeah also diggin the colour. Think it needs slammin a bit though. Was gettin a bit distracted by the polo. What model is it?

got one of these to go in my G60 just not got around to go fitting yet. its out of a golf 1.9D. it only got taken out this week so not had chance to look over it but whilst it was in the car it seemed all good. im planning on putting it in then seeing which one i prefer the G60 on or the diesel one. then will get the one i prefer reconed. sorry i know thats not much help. but will try have a look at it next week and see if its the same as yours. ie turning by hand and all that!

will the solenoid not swap over meaning you can still use the old wiring?
