Did you get them? not got into work didnt want to attempt to got either car out cause i woulndt get it back in again. was planning on getting a lift but that turned out no good as he was also snowed in. should be in tomoz though as another guy he i work with lives near me and has an evo so the 4wd makes a bit of difference. will let you know tomoz. -
im so fookin lazy! just looked in to this on thursday. thought i would pull the indicator out and check the conections with a multimeter. pulled the ind out and the wire has snapped just as it exits the bulb connector. so not a massive problem. i think i have a connector from then one i broke so another "to do" to add to the list!

will have a look shortley. but things like this will effect the price in some peoples eyes. especailly if its on the log book, on the front at the bottom some where, its usually under when it was first registered. some times with Cat D's you can get away with it not being on the log book. if your thinkin of keeping it for a while then i wouldnt let it bother you. but if not then you would need to negotiate on price. also as to insurance i never had any problems with my saxo. when insurers do a search on the car it should come up with any colour changes, imported, finance, damaged etc. but i never got asked. so never brought it up! :D

Cat A - have to be crushed - cant be stripped for parts - cant go back on the road - generally fatalitys Cat B - can be stripped for parts but will have to be crushed - cant go back on road Cat C - economical write off - cost more to fix than the car is worth but can go back on the road Cat D - wirte off but damaged + repair is less then value of the car - can go back on the road Cat X - is genarally stolen recovered. i have had a Cat C 2000 saxo vtr but the damage to the car was very little. the young blud who had it before had lost control and hit a curb damaging the front wheel, strut & hub, steering arm and chassis leg. at the same time there was another saxo vtr but was about 3-4 years newer. front end was blitzed. need all panels parts, aprart from the engine, from the windscreen forwards. this was a Cat D for me knowing about the trade side of it, Cat D or D arent that bad i would not put me off buying a car if it was the right price. what is it your looking at? buying something damaged or that has been repaired?

I sent it to .... (your work) You been to work to check? no ive been off thursday and friday so they may have arrived. if i can get in on monday will let you know. -
sorry should of made myself a bit clearer. the interior that is in the car is not the original one. it has been changed to leather. when i had the seats out i noticed the loom on the seat side. i was wondering if the loom on the car side was fitted to all rado's and only used when needed? so im guessing that if it didnt have heated seats from factory the loom on the car side wont be there? is this something that i could fit conect if i got hold of the relivant parts?
-
ok so whilst fitting the handbrake guide tube yesterday, had the front seats out and noticed that on the bottom of the drivers seat there is some loom and a connector. so im guessing that the are heated seats. if this is the case then how would i go about wiring these up? were all rado's fitted with a heated loom but just never connected if it wasnt need? would i need the heated seat loom (car side) and dash switch? it would of been real nice to have this a few weeks ago with all that cold weather!

not got mine yet! :( -
got the same problem with mine got it tracked 3 times, then four wheel aligned. still pulls to the left. came round to just living with it. tyre bay at my work are having a four post ramp put in so the can do alignment. the guy who will be doing it is a bit of a VW nut so he will spend a bit of time on it and hopefully get it right. until then i'll put up with it!
-
maybe not yours! :D nor mine either! :(

sounds like the same problem i had with mine but mine's a G60. i ended up not putting it on it was that bad of a fittment

couldnt be bothered trying to "service" the cables so got two new ones. thought might as well do both whilst the centre console is out. driver side off no probs (unsiezed side). came to get the passenger off bit of a nightmare. it had sized into the metal guide which runs from the outside to the base of the handbrake lever. think that may have been my problem as the end of the cable looked pretty good.
-
i have this problem but from monday morn. driving on sunday no issues. park up get in next morning got to bottom of the road and didnt feel right checked all the tyres, no flats. carried on driving. pulled up to a red light and then that smell of binding brakes entered the car. god dammit! only had it on the ramp on friday! it seemed better when driving home and again ok this morning, but whilst moving kept working the hand brake to try and free it up a bit. i have mk4 golf calipers so im guessing that for me it will more likely be a cable issues rather than a caliper issues have to try and get it back on the ramp and give a blast with some grease!

would the early or late wings not be the same where they meet the bonnet? i thought it was the shape/line of the "bubble" part of the arch which was different? -
well when you G60 guys get yours let me know if you have a much trouble with the one that goes on the oil filter housing as i did!
-
i will look in to it tomorrow morn and report back. i was thinkin square shape, 12" by 12", picture on top dates on bottom, turn it over picture on top dates on botton and so on. that sound ok for the style of it? my mate may have some other ideas for it though. also was thinkin about have the corrado.net logo on one corner under the dates and maybe the CCGB logo on the other corner?
-
I can ask my mate, he's in graphic desisgn, see how he can print them for if people want? What size, shape and style is prefaired?
