id not done the G for a lil while and with driving on the motorway everyday its got pretty dirty over the winter period. washed it two weeks ago the back end was mingin!!! it looks well once washed though so need to try and keep on top of it. not sure what to do. was thinkin of getting it detailed, theres a guy just done my brothers for round £60 - wash, clay bar, wax, polish, interior and does a right go job. but i need to get the front end sprayed. not sure which to do first. i know the best option is to keep on washin myself and get it sprayed first but i think getting it detailed would do it a world of good! this is my brothers car, the pics dont really do it justice, both before and after. it was shocking how dirty it was and how it turned out. http://www.ladsoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26927&highlight=

if both nuts are still there then theres prob no need to change it just loosen the big nut, tighten the smaller one the re-tighten the big one. but there are cheap, only about £9 so not a big expense if you change it anyway. if your doing one you might aswell do both. once you got the surround off it may be worth having a look at the handbrake mounting point itself cause the weld there can also fail.

good to see your staying positive Tom with all the recent hassle you've had and now your getting back on track! wheels should look pretty good when when, you'll have to bang some pics up.

one of my neighbours works for euro car parts and she was saying that at the moment brembo stuff is cheaper than there own branded stuff. if your buying brembo stuff then you know its going to better quailty than others.

i was thinking the other day that i see more porsche 911 carrea's than i see corrados. then i spot two over two days. first was yesterday in blackburn hospital carpark around 3:30pm, dark grey N'reg all black rear lights black wheels. second today, m6 jct 30 then on to m61 around 5:45pm. black H'reg guessing 16v. exchanged thumbs up/wave, then i pulled back into the slow lane.

prices have gone up, my renewal was more expensive then the previous year. messed around with lots of phones calls and manged to knock off a couple hundred quid with them. i ended up going with greenlight, underwriten by liverpool victoria. all mods declared it was around £430 i think but cant quite remembe. you have to do it through an online quite and await a reply though. but it was defo worth it. -
ive got 7's and 8's also. but ive got a pair of 9's to go on the back and want the 8's on the front, so it will be 8's and 9's. not sure how much its gonna rub though!

when i was looking to get another Rado i knew i wanted G, but for me its the sound of the supercharger which i like as apposed to the VR sound. the main thing i was thinking about was mantenace and the VR engine fills the whole engine bay with not much room to work on, G60 bags of room due to the little old 8v! you can also get relativley the same power from a G60 as you can get from the VR, unless your planning on spending loads on charging a VR!

i went the other way. i used to have a G'reg 1.8 16v rado and then went for a mk3 polo.... but it was a G40! :-) but im now back in a G60! good choice on getting one though but be prepaired to be putting your hand in your pocket. treat her right and she'll do the same. ive had no major probs with mine yet but have changed a fair few bits and general maintenace. what you thinkin of gettin?

what are the gains from doing this?
-
prob be the bottle itself, mine did this a while ago. was worried i was losing coolant. but it was just the sensor in the bottle. new bottle from VW was about £12.

saw a corrado on the side of the m65. :-( so did the only right thing to do in that situation. came off the next jct came back up, pulled over and see if i could lend a hand! turned out to be BRAD VR6. good news it was only a flat tyre. bad news i couldnt help! but the rac were on route to sort the problem. always good to meet another member, hope you got to your mates ok!

easy fix then!

when its dark and no ones lookin pop your lights on and do some shadow puppets, that should keep you entertained for a few minutes! you could also do some "VVRRROOOMMM" "TISH" "VVRRROOOMMM" "TISH" noise's and turn you steering wheel from side to side. we all know weve done that at some point! (good thread made me laugh)
