I'm in that position :( Would be financially better not owning it! Fair few electronics, bodywork and interior niggles, but the look, the engine, all still send shivers up my spine... even if it is my parents who are now insured on it...

Could well have been my dad in mine heading towards Armitages for a sandwich for his lunch. The wheels atm are dark greyish with a polished lip, G34RGT?

I really do hope this moves swiftly for you. At the end of the day, if the vehicle is insured, you can claim from someone at least. I've been waiting over a year for my claim to be settled, only just going to court now, but mine was caused by some pillock running a red light while on his phone. Because there were no witnesses the police said there was no reason to investigate... -
Aint it the modern day classics one with the merc cosworth?

I have to admit, I once did that to some rudeboys in a punto. Was helped I had my 6' 5" 20 stone brother in the car with me at the time! Not something I'd recommend if the other car is full of chavs and you're on your own. The duress speeding option is a better stand in court rather than a hospital visit./

Usually causes me to slow down to be extra sure my car negotiates the huge mountainous speed bump they plop at work/near schools/middle of residential estates/near shopping centres etc. I don't understand why they bother, they touch my bumper their insurance is mine. Besides, when the road clears and the speed limit increases again I leave them behind.

you can do that if the battery isn't also hooked up to the car at the time, Think of it like a jump start procedure.

More reasons for me to emigrate! Hong Kong has similar petrol prices for their super premium shell, but you pay less tax overall, roads are better, education is better, public transport is better... And all this from a nice beige bloke in the 50's deciding tax should be 15% and business should be allowed to thrive. Our NHS is failing because there's no competition to force down prices and up standards of care, our rail system is failing because there's no competition to force down prices and offer higher standards... See the vicious circle? And all the while we're being told we need to pay more tax because the economy's in the shitter, all the roads are pegered and that there'll be no future if there's a single big company left out there. Bollocks I say, companies become monopolies for a reason! Sorry about the rant there, but I feel pretty strongly about being shafted.

The loading screens really narked me off, in forza if I choose the wrong race or track while flipping through, no biggie, it takes me to an intermediary confirmation screen before loading. GT5? Click- LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD - back - LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD eurgh. fail. Why even bother installing to hdd if it's gonna throw this at me! bah. Other than that, I seem to be somehow doing allrightish... had to set it to forza style controls as buttons for accel and brake just don't give me enough control.

2.2 derv Titanium (X) Mondeo. Very well specced, handle pretty well for a barge as well. Would definitely be worth a tryout. If it's a daily are you too bothered if it's a bit bland to drive?

Sureley it's " Lots of Trouble Usually Serious" what with it not being called Lomus Remember somebody sticking an Audi V8 in the back of their esprit, was pretty funky build diary too!

What do you bet the material goes something like "omgthiscarisreallyfast!" Not to try and put a damper on anything, but didn't Toyota loose one of their main test drivers/developers on the ring in an LFA?
-
I should sue.. I'm sure I drew that when I was 6.
-
He writes and delivers material... Where the hell do you get a job like that? I want one :(
-
Was just about to mention Paul McKenna I enjoy it for one simple reason, I would love to just goof around like that and be paid good money for it!I flick to turbo if I want a car documentary etc, top gear? purely entertainment.

Diesel electric hybrid is the way forward, small little 3cyl diesel running at an optimum rpm charging an electric battery. None of this dual hybrid crap, like the volt where you can drive it on just the gas (petrol) engine!
-
They tried... bless. You know what this means though? The car needs to be lower if they can fit a whole parcel underneath it!

I have no end of respect for Jim for being editor. I do our internal newsletter at work, and while there's a few people who do help with some of the tasks, articles, stories etc. usually just falls onto deaf ears when we ask for any insight... that is until there is an issue with it. However, as I love corrado's more than my work, if there's ever any help needed feel free to call upon me! I should probably sort out my ccgb membership beforehand though... been meaning to since I got the car!

Don't have my book to hand but iirc, you turn the intermittent wipe on then turn the ignition off, and it does like 1 and half wipes and leaves them sat in the middle of the screen.
-
Yeah... it leaves the wipers half up on the screen, stops em from having to drag over a big block of ice.
-
I think the postie pinched mine!

Is there still any left? -
Im amazed by how many people dont know how to use the parking lights on cars, i keep seeing people leave the wrong light on - the NS instead of the OS :cuckoo:[/quote:2b9gle0f] There seems to be a different method for different cars, one friends car turned the parking lights on when full beam was left on with the engine off :S It's like the winter wiper position, if people know how to set that. I had to explain to a lass at work that's how she fucked her rubber up on the wipers. From them dragging free from a pool of ice!

I blame the spoiler! Creates so much downforce it seems to such dust up from the ground! Mines been sat with all the weather atm, and snow seems to do a wonderful job of cleaning it, my accident damaged focus is positively gleaming and that was last detailed around this time last year!
