Hi Domi and welcome to the forum :) Hmmmm quirky AND tempermental I'd say (a bit like something else we know) No, really all they need is a bit of TLC  I'll try to answer your questions very briefly but I know there are far far better qualified judges on here than me that will see you right! Anyway from my own experience......... 1) Mine is exactly the same, whether this is an engine characteristic or not I don't know but I always let the oil temp reach 80c before I boot it and then it's fine 2) Not sure, it could be your ISV (Idle Stabilisation Valve) playing up... :? 3) Again mine are the same, it could be that when you put your brakes on, your brakes pads rub on slightly rusted discs (all it takes is rainwater or condensation to make them rust overnight.) This soon wears off once you've used them. 4) Temp. Do you mean oil or water? Between 70 and 95 for water sounds ok and for oil it can go up to 120 depending on the ambient temp and your driving style and/or speed! 5) Hmmm this is one I would get checked out by an independant specialist, the light really should not be coming on intermittently but if it's a sensor get it check/'replaced accordingly. Hope this helps but Kev will probably be along later to put right my wrongs! Oh and don't forget to put a pic of yourself up on the Members Picture Gallery!

Me too, wish I could have made it there in my rado but unfortunately it was impossible  Haven't been to Inters since the last one at TRL in 2001 when I had my Mk II Golf 16v :( Will make up for it next year though I hope! :-P

That is one nice looking storm, 8) I know what you mean about mystic blue going purpley, especially in bright sunlight it looks bloody lovely :-P What mileage is on it BTW? Leavon It was a standard feature on both the green and blue storms, agreed that it makes a difference, it does look better than the standard black I think :)

Passed a Grey H plate on the A4103 Roman Road heading toward Worcester at just after 5pm today, I nodded at you and you had a good stare back  8)

Andy Brookes's Satin Silver VR6, its last journey...boohoo
DaveStorm replied to Andy Brookes's topic in Members Gallery
Nice motor brookesy, there's just something about silver Corrados........... that I bloody love :) ! It's the best 'light' colour you can get IMHO... it makes them look so clean and 'right'. 8) -
Red G plate 16v with what looked like venoms from a distance?  seen on Sat afternoon parked on Waterfield Road in Hereford
-
I always liked a number plate I saw in a magazine on a silver Mk I Golf GTI a few years ago - FUK 1T :)

That's later switches for ya! I'd have kept the early switch if I were you, later ones seem very brittle and prone to breaking/overheating in comparison
-
Whoa! Surely the US stuff is similar.. I mean Corrado lights over here are bad too so don't bother swapping the lights, it sounds like you need to uprate to a headlight loom
-
Yep, last weekend, you should have had 'em by now :?
-
Aye that's the ones, you just jogged my memory, thanks Dunc
-
I though all facelift Corrados came with a height adjustable steering column and sunroof :? so did the 8v have a poverty spec as well a gutless engine? :?:

A very small number of G60s were not registered until early 1993 so it is also possible to get a '93 K reg but even these do still have the early interior. Many people say that the earlier style dash is more robust than the later model, which does seem rather brittle, even though it does look a bit more modern and with slightly better ergonomics

Ok peeps, let us know a little bit more about how you came around to owning your beloved C, ie when you bought it, why you bought it and how much you paid, or even how many you've owned! :) I'll start the ball rolling by saying I remember the first Corrado I saw back in '89 (a rare F feg 16v in Tornado Red) and thinking WOW that's a stunner! Is it really a Volkswagen?! I'd love one of those :-P Obviously I could only dream back then (as I was still at school!) It was only in November last year, after owning a succession of quality VW and Audi machines, that I finally achieved my goal and bought my first one. A one owner, 1995 N reg Mystic Blue Storm with 96k on the clock and FVWSH for £5,500, and since then I haven't looked back. The Corrado is still a thing of beauty, even after all these years and get's looks wherever it goes, and I really would not change it for anything 8) Over to you......
-
Hmmm I'm on 98k now with no records to say this has been done, bug*er! :( So could that also be what wakes the neighbours first thing in the morning? :?
-
Is that all? Mine does that for about a minute or so.
-
Daves16v they look like the standard 2.0 8v wheels you have on there which look really nice. 8) Any idea what name VW called them?

A big thanks to Tempest for the smoked rear lights received today. £145 including outer cluster bulbs, delivered to my doorstep - superb! :D Cheers

There are obviously many dishonest people out there but I'd like to think of members of this particular forum as pretty honest  Besides in personal injury claims you should have medical evidence supplied by an independant doctor to be able to verify and back up your claim and, depending on the severity of the injury(s), further treatment ie physiotherapy, as I had. Yes we all pay the price unfortunately but if people drive like the t!t in the BMW did then the outcome could be a lot worse for someone on the receiving end, rather than just an increase in their insurance premium. My 2p

What a complete n0bhead going that fast, hope they throw the book at him. :x Sorry to hear bout your rado but it's good that you're ok but like others have said, it could have been a lot worse so make sure you get as much out of him as is possible, as there is also bound to have been plenty of witnesses to back you up. I did this four years ago when the police T-boned my rocco GTX, both myself and passenger claimed for our personal injuries getting over £1500 each (plus £1800 for the rocco) so it's well worth it. Good luck

Normal unleaded is 81.9p and BP Ultimate now 86.9p round here!! 2 Jags Prescott's a f@t robbing c*nt :porc: , wouldn't surprise me if we see a repeat of Sept 2000 protests before too long, I hope so as it seems to be the only way to get the powers that be to listen :x
-
Fu*kin hell, you'd get a bloody good 3 bed semi with garage for that round here! Feel for you mate :(
-
Glad I got both then!
