    Exhaust identification

Yeah, the box is connected directly to the cat. I think the manifold and downpipe are stock but haven't really checked. There's loads more clearance than the standard rear section, which has been extremely useful while refurbing the rear beam :)
  2. My VR6 came with this "stainless backbox" as it was described in the ad, the rest of the system being standard. Anyone know what it is? Can't spot any identifying marks on it.
  3. Sometimes you need to play around with the USB serial port settings to get the cheap cables to work. Took a few tries to get mine going but once I'd found the right settings it's been stable.
  4. Dark N-reg VR6 (I think, possibly Storm) travelling along Low Road in Hunslet, Leeds towards the city centre this afternoon, female driver.
  5. Just collected from TPS - prices ex. VAT with 9% discount applied: 191 615 612 B Rear brake disc splash plate (right) £14.60 191 615 611 D Rear brake disc splash plate (left) £14.60 191 501 639 B Cover for stub axle (w/ ABS) £2.71
  6. Positive Crankcase Ventilation It's an emissions regulations thing that oily crankcase gasses have to be vented back into the intake to burn up in the combustion chamber. The valve is a non-return so gas can't bypass the manifold, I believe. They weren't even present on early VRs (like mine) so I assume it's safe to omit.
  7. Turned out it was just the plastic tab on the bottom of the shifter had fallen off. I'll send you a PM soon to get one of these kits ordered.

    Gearbox oil grade

I was going to get some Redline MT90 following recommendations I've read on here.
  9. Ditto, nice to meet those I got the chance to speak to. Roll on Elsecar!
  10. Brings back memories... I grew up 2 miles from the circuit and spent many a weekend in the paddock as my dad used to race bikes there. Would be fantastic to head back down with the Corrado.
  11. Hi Jay, That beam looks very smart. I'm in the process of doing mine at the moment and I hope to catch up with you at the NW meet this Sunday for some tips! Neil
  12. Very nice work! Was that with a DAS-6? What polish did you use?
  13. Guys, there's a classic car show on at Event City the same weekend (NW INDOOR CLASSIC / VINTAGE, SPORTS & PERFORMANCE CAR SPECTACULAR) - it's also right next to the Trafford Centre. I was planning to go to that next Sunday so I could swing by the Soccerdome and say hello. Won't be in the Corrado unfortunately unless some sort of miracle happens over the next week... http://www.cheshireautopromotions.co.uk/indoor.php
  14. Could I have 2nd dibs on these, please?
  15. Would no doubt sound fantastic with some Brilliant Pebbles!
  16. Yes, mine is the same except the wires go through a hole poked in the side of the cover. It really does look like a bodge!
  17. No worries and thanks for looking.
  18. Ah, I'll go and have a look when I get the chance. Will probably come back and have a kit off you soon enough anyway :)
  19. Yep and nope. I almost don't need to depress the stick to nudge it to reverse so have to be quite careful changing down from 3rd.
  20. It's a little bit too easy to accidentally select reverse rather than 2nd in mine and I suspect something is worn. Would fitting this kit help with that?
  21. I've found a proper picture of the bit I'm after and it's not the same as what Swiftkid needs. Do you have one of these too? The picture is from a left-hand drive perspective so I need the opposite side! I'm not sure if the cable can be detached.
  22. Sorry to hear this, Kip - no way to spend a Sunday :(
  23. I need the same part as Swiftkid (I think) - the cable guide on the passenger side. It's the bit that's snapped in the picture. Can anyone help? Ta, Neil
  24. Black J-reg G60 in Wilco's car park in Hunslet, Leeds this afternoon about 2pm. Looking mean on those 17" (?) rims ;)
