Yes please, if you don't mind.

Does the BMC come with all the fittings and what condition is it in?

Another vote for the C-TEKs.

You'll be thinking of Dubpower.

Not had a chance to try one out yet and wondering what it's like with the new controller. Being partial to zombie games I like the look of ZombiU.

This isn't off-topic!

Try replacing the yellow temp sender in the thermostat housing.

Poly engine mounts if they're still available, please!

Removed my original pump t'other day and it had metal fins, one of which had snapped. Still looking for the piece... New one from TPS is plastic. Edit: on closer inspection the original fins do seem to be plastic but really worn and pitted.

The cheapo cables on ebay do work (in my experience) and you can use the free version of VCDS Lite to check and reset fault codes and read measuring blocks. You'll have to register (about £60?) for the more advance functions like basic settings.

Which one's that, Gaz?

I suppose there's a risk the thermostat might have seized so it could be wise to swap that out while you do the coolant.

Failed again today to release a ball joint from a control arm. The other side came off so easily...

Fit them yourself! It's actually not that hard, just a bit time-consuming (and you can follow the great timing chain replacement guide on the wiki for the most part).

Cams and chains in. Top tensioner pad was frayed and missing its rivets at one end and the upper guide was in two pieces. No wonder the engine was so noisy...

It's a good feeling, ain't it?

Could you clip a power supply (e.g. battery charger) to the positive terminal of, say, the alternator or starter motor and power the alarm that way? I'm not sure if these are accessible from underneath on a G60 but might be worth a look. Edit: beat me to it :) Glad to hear you got it sorted!

Over the last few days: started following 2CC's guide on the wiki for clutch/chain replacement. Front suspension is mostly removed and gearbox is dropped. Will swap the chains and install the new cams today, hopefully.

Ah, a Manchester Egg :) We made some yesterday, as it happens!

I got one from another ebay shop last year and the quality was very good indeed. The fit in the surround was fine but I did have to fashion a top piece for under the knob from a nylon washer and some leather offcuts. You'd never know unless you had a really close look.

I got a quote of approx £95,000 via a comparison site. Can't remember the insurer now, but it wasn't one of the big names. Shome mishtake, shurely..?

Cheers! I think this might be a popular one if the prices are good. -

I was signed up to do the basic welding course in October but it was cancelled due to lack of interest :( Will hopefully be on it in July if it runs again. -
Yeah, so if the spirit level wasn't moving then you know the yacht is broken!
