i have kenwood components in the front with the crossover hidden behind the dash and the tweaters in the original corrado tweater holders. there should be speaker wire already there but i put my own stuff in anyway. in the rear i have some oval (mini 6x9 style) kenwoods with the standard wiring they sounded great running from my sony MD headunit, but i added a basslink recently to give that added punch

so you have to text the car and then it replies telling you where it is?? what if its in a garage? the gps signal wont work if its anything like my satnav.

no probs mr charged. how much are a set of bushes then? might do it myself over the summer
-
could just be duff springs i guess?? did you put new top mounts on when you did the change.. aparently worn ones can account for up to a 2 cm drop in rear end height
-
getting on fine. they feel nice even over very bad, uneven roads and on nice flat surfaces there fantastic, I cant fault them. The rear ride height is a confusing one to be honest. imagine 1 is the highest and 5 is the lowest. that guy with the yellow 20vt has his on 1 and says its too low. kev has his on 2 and it looks about right. i have mine on 3 and it looks too high???!! i dont get it. Im going to take them all apart and change to the 5th setting which sould lower by an extra 1cm and then i reckon it will look right. I can always raise them a couple of nothces in the future if the springs sag personally i would spend the extra £150 for the H&R's...i would however spend it on one of those fancie Anti roll bar things!

i dont understand why everyone is so anti the koni springs.... i have driven both setups and there is very little difference...but thats a different matter the height thing is wierd....a didnt think the g60 was different to the vr6 at the rear. Mine definately needs to come down about 1cm before its level. does the front look too high or is it definately the rear that is too low? i havent measured mine for a while so not sure of the actual distances
-
hmm, thats strange. my rear shocks are set on the middle setting and its sitting too high IMO. i am using 40mm koni springs.
-
have you tried the KONI's... or are you just guessing there crap?????
-
We know what you drive!!! What do you do???

I have seen a couple of MKV golfs around wearing some nice alloys. They look a little like the 15" or 16" versions of the wheel that was on the MKIV 4motion if that makes sense... anyway i was wondering what the PCD and offset were if anyone knows? i know the new audi A3 has gone to 5x112 PCD so i wondered if the golf had followed suit ta

i have checked mine regularly since filling at 80k miles... now on 85k and the level hasnt moved atall.
-
Hey.. Has this gone dead?? or are you just working up a REALLY good price :?
-
hurrar, another mpg thread!. my vr6 does about 22 mpg round town. i got 31 on a 250 round trip to guildford though as for the leathers. yes they will fit in as g60. chances are the g60 door cards will be the earlier spec (with the electric window switches on the actual door card unlike the late ones with the switch on the speaker pod. the door cards will swap over fine and IIRC the connectors are the same dont sell the VR though hoping for a cheap to run G60... they dont exist!
-
had them on for about 3 weeks now...maybe a bit more. i dont really know how long they take to settle? but they feel fine now after all the geometry was set up.
-
which is why you should buy a vr6   so....im not really a g60 man....what has happened there? there looks to be a LARGE part missing??
-
i have driven 2 vr6's. one with koni (mine) and one with h&r (kev's) and didnt notice £150 worth of difference. Kev also drove both cars but im sure he will give his own opinion
