Stinks though, I need some sort of valve to stop it evaporating and causing a stink in the intake and out the K&N
-
I agree about it shouldn’t matter that mines a turbo so much, as it’s a crank case breather. All engines have them.

Get ready for a rollercoaster ride mate. Corrado ownership has its highs and lows but what a car.

I can’t see any difference it’s funny you mention getting stung i got stung off ups when I got some stuff delivered from classics way before Christmas, I’ve had a couple of things from this seller with no problems at all. I think they’ve all probably got their act together now

3/8 x 19mm off of EBay, just type in the search, the size you want and the type of thread, it all came from EBay. Used loctite 577 to seal the threads.

Cheap Chinese one off of EBay. I bought it for £15 on 2 Jan, I can’t believe it’s gone up over 33% in a month. The pipes and fittings cost the most

Funnily enough I’ve come to the same conclusion and have been experimenting lately with one 19mm hose in 16mm hose out and a 10mm drain pipe with a 3/8 ball valve on the end for drainage. The 10mm is the latest experimental addition for easier drainage and a visual idea of what’s happening My first experiment of one reveals just how much water mixes with your oil while the car is stood. The car hadn’t moved for about 3 weeks fitted the can and went for about 30 mile. Look at what nasty has been going through my intake system.

Bought some fuel lines from Latvia off of EBay, from oe245, seem to have gone up over $14 since mind. They are the rubber ones on the side of the head going to the fuel rail, the ones I ordered were listed for a Passat but they are identical to the ones that were taken off of my car. OE Part numbers 021 133 988 J 021 133 990 J

Finished with a coat of waxy stuff

Haha don’t panic I’ve not touched it since I got it back from the sprayshop over 12 months ago. I’ve been waiting for the paint and carbon in the bonnet to fully cure. Over the spring and summer the carbon weave came through and made it look a bit dull What you see there is the results of mild flattering with 1500 and 2000 grit. Then I moved into buffing mode. It’s a scary mind numbing process but the rewards speak for themselves. 1st stage at the 1/2 way point or there about a.

It’s a great feeling when your happy with the job, but how to keep 2 garaged was my problem.

I’ve been spending my Christmas money, or rather, I’ve spent it. I bought a set of plugs Bosch FR7KPP33+7426+50 Im not sure Vince chose these for my VR6 because it’s got a turbo and runs hotter or that’s what he uses on them all, but to be honest I’m not in boost that much and they seem to be pretty good. The point was to set the up the gap in the plugs a bit with me having the coil pack mod. I upped it from as recommended on the box 0.7mm to 0.75mm. On removal the old plugs didn’t look the best but not too bad either. I’d say the new gapping is better another step up, these aren’t massive gains with the coil pack and plugs compared to cleaning the MAF but the ignition side seems proper sorted after yesterday’s 30 mile run. Next up crank case breather, another look.

I think the thread you mentioned shows the dealer bulletin complete with diagram but I couldn’t find it either when oneohtwo was enquiring about his starting issue. -

MOD personnel are trained to fill their diesel tanks at night to help prevent water absorption of the fuel. Always fill mine up with Shell super when it’s stood for any time including its respray and reassemble.

Different covers, upper and lower for adjustable height steering column and non adjustable, I’m afraid.
