I will PM people for payment nearer the end of the month :) Bear in mind that these items wont get to me until late October so no real rush to get payment at this time. ---------- Post added at 09:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:44 AM ---------- By the way, i've got about 6 or so more parts to list yet. I just need to get there RRP's first :)

I suppose you could technically run it without a cat as well as it wouldn't be classed on emissions by VOSA? :)

Do the later 2.8's have a little more poke. I always thought a 174bhp VR6 would feel a little asthmatic in a Corrado? A quick fleabay finds this anyway. 2.9 VR6 for £350 ono. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VR6-2-9-CORRADO-ENGINE-GOLF-/150661671022?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item231422a86e#ht_500wt_1282

Wouldn't put the 2.8 in though. That's like eating Lidl chocolate; it's just not the same as Cadburys.

MFA 2 - Fuel Economy - What is your reading ?
Pat_McCrotch replied to Wendy's topic in General Car Chat
Used to read about 34.7mpg but has since dropped to about 32mpg as it's no longer a daily. -

Got mine today :) Love the fact it lights up red when not on :D -
Awful :( Without sounding like a vulture. Have your insurance company offered you the chance to buy it back? It would be a shame for it to get 'lost' to the breakers and you could make a pretty penny from breaking it yourself AND save a few more C's on here ;)

What are your Corrado costs to date....
Pat_McCrotch replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
Calm down Kev! I'm a facts and figures man as you know :D I suppose it's what you get out of it at the end of the day so the cost is irrelevant, just interesting to see. Interestingly, I took my £1,000 Accord Type R (which I begrudge spending any money on and treat like crap) to Snetterton and it was giving cars 30x the price a hard time. The Honda feels alive on the track and not so good on the road. Whereas the Corrado is amazing on the road and with it's shocking brakes and soft suspension probably sheeeet on the track (in standard form). So why does the Corrado get treated like a Queen, have no expense spared and not even get driven in the rain? There's just something about it that gets under my skin and the general respect it commands make it worth the investment. Without sounding big headed the enthusiam from people when you say you have a Corrado VR6 would probably be the same as if you told them you had a GT3-RS or R34 Nissan Skyline. -
That looks like it aint moved in a while?

Good work and well done for tackling it yourself :)

You see when the bottom screw hole for the left hand side of the heater panel? Exactly opposite would be the right hand side. They ALWAYS break on that point :( I've yet to find one that isn't broken.

Smouldering Dash, another headlight switch and loom bites the dust.

This is why i'm going to fit my Jetta LED switch as soon as it lands on my door mat! -
Aren't the 256's standard on the VR6? Or 280's? Well, basically. VR6 calipers!! :) 357698480AX

ABS Pump - Please help me I'm clueless!
Pat_McCrotch replied to born2misbehave's topic in Engine Bay
Don't panic. Plenty of Corrado's being broken at the moment so you should get a pump for the fraction of the cost of a new unit. -
Proper 256mil Corrado calipers from the dealer! £61 + VAT at staff rate I might add ;) With some discount you'd probably pay £80 + VAT but still a bargain IMHO.
-
Golf sold, made a tidy £250 and only after 1 days cleaning :) Replaced the front calipers on the C with brand new VAG items. Only £61 + VAT for a pair! It was worth changing them just to see if it made a difference to the performance... ...it didn't! But the braided hoses have firmed up the pedal a bit which was my only real complaint anyway. Might invest in some grooved discs when the time comes :)

As are the rails it's seems :)

Jim's Corrado - ciao to the Fiat! Hello to.. (P64)
Pat_McCrotch replied to Jim's topic in Members Gallery
I female friend I know used to have one ;) At the first MOT it needed £1500 spent on it. £500 of that was tyres but the rest was suspension She'd only done 34,000 miles. -
'Hatchback Coupe'? I like the term Passat Coupe to be honest. It's a seriously comfy car but it's sporty when you need it to be.

Aren't these two now languishing in a warehouse near Amsterdam? I heard a septic tank bought them to import to America but due to there strict legislation he wasn't able to do so?

Anyone ever tried this? Interested to see results :)
