  1. number plate surround (delocked of course) is defintely on my list, as mine keeps cracking where the hole was filled in. I also have a spare one to hand over to the lad. front spoilers are meant to be flexible! your risk, but if yo uwant one I can ask. only problem being is you'd have to sand all the grain off the plastic first so a smooth mould could be made.
  2. now just imagine it if you had 4wd :-) mmmm, donuts! no fecking snow where I love though! gutted.
  3. well, funnily enough I should be able to help out here, seeing as that's my old rallye front end! (and my old dash, I fitted the engine too!). on those, the internal diffuser has been painted black fromt he back. something the corrad doesn't have so it can't be done i the same way. I've seen vento lights where they paint the bottom face of the chrome relfector, and the front face (i.e. the bit the bulb doesn't shine off) matt black. you could try taking the glass off your lights and doing that? I've tried tinting lenses, it just doesn't work, the tint spray just beads up as it can't stick to the glass.
  4. I think he was having a "spaz" after reading the engine spec and the 380bhp bit.
  5. you'd never get 100 corrado's donnington is ideal. I've been a few times, sometimes it's almost an open pit line, but split into different groups depending on experience. at GTI Trackshwo there was a Caterham club day on too. they had their own session. so I see no reason why we couldn't so something simlar in fact, there's the answer. I could have a word with peter rosenthal and see if he'll allow one of the track slots to be corrado only! I don't see why he wouldn't do that? it was only about £25 for the session this year IIRC. it's a brave move to go all out and book a whole track for a whole day. it'll cost a fortune, and people WILL let you down, they always do.
  6. cling film should do the trick.
  7. It's a funny one, as it actually comes back on itself to make it look wider. when you measure it fromt he mounting face to the rim it's only about 1" I think, maybe even less! OSV is your man, he's got a few spare rims knocking about and has just fitted wider ones to his.
  8. now that's what I cann a real modifed car. turbo v6 power coming soon to a 4x4 corrado near this forum ;-)
  9. well, I'm actually considering a roof skin. seeing as mine has a HUGE and heavy aftermarket electric glass sunroof and there's no way I'm going to find new non sunroof skin for sensible money. http://www.fiberimages.com do bonnets but I can't see how they'd be able to ship them safely. however, if we did a group buy and they all got sent over in one super toughened crate then we could share the shipping costs? he's mentiond a bonnet, and said for material alone, to make a "real" one it's gotta be at least £450 in material alone. I'll ask him to sign up so he can answer your questions directly. For things like a spoiler, yes, it'd be purely cosmetic, but for things like doors, bonnet and such, there are real, and immense weigh saving gains to be had if you're serious about tuning your corrado. Dinkus... You don't like carbon, so don't read the thread!
  10. I'm not into bling, but I am a wheel whore.....wheels make a car, and I just can't stop buying them! got a set of those, but mine are possibly the most un bling BBS's you'll ever see (I was actually going to hammerite my RS301's and use them on a track day for a wind up! now beautifully restored by OSV)
  11. No, I don't mean a huge wing or irioning board on the back, I mean a spoiler exactly the same shape and size as the factory one, but made out of high gloss finished carbon fibre. I have a contact who can make just about anything from carbon, so I'm trying to gauge some interest in what sort of parts people would want to buy, and if anyone has the said parts going spare that they'd be willing to donate to the guy in order for moulds to be made. I can't give any prices as yet as he'd have to see the item and make at least one to know how much material and time it takes. Obviously, the more the better, as this brings the price down (group buy wouls be possible) register you interest please.
  12. This corrado was featured a few years back, long before I had a corrado. I've modified my car over the last 2 years, then I found this old mag, and noticed that this corrado has a striking resemblance. same front bumper mods, same colour, same grille, red lights, chromolux windows, BBS splits etc etc
  13. Look just like this one! (in PVW a few years back) Sodding typical. So much for the subtle look! Can't complain, you have to admit it does look rather nice! (apart from that cock end of an exhaust)
  14. well, as far as I'm aware the helper spring is only ther to take up any slack and make sure the spring stays seated when the car is jacked up (or airbourne!). if the spring dislocates out of it's seat it's an MOT failure (not that it's ever going to go anywhere! the helper spring usually compresses to almost flat and coil bound with the car on it's wheels. not selling the corrado now. decided to keep it and take it to the next level (i.e., finish it off properly!)
  15. seen the same topic on vortex the general answer seems to be "remove the helper springs" but after seeing a pic of them I'd say, buy some shorter rear springs, they are fecking huge!!!
  16. £100 is very reasonable. and by all means make it corrado only, time to sort the men from tne boys....
  17. it's a 1.8T, just heavily rewored and with a bigger turbo.

  19. well, dubforce is the best one, but you could try http://www.vwsyncro.co.uk but it's a bit quiet on there.
  20. it's not a road car FFS......it's a dragster, built purely for drag racing and nothing else. I don't know why I bothered posting it now........
  21. I guess not many of you know much about the US drag scene...nearly all of the cars look like that. they have normally aspirated civic's running 9's.......so the mods do work...
  22. did I mention lee at all? I don't think so. I've met Lee loads of times and never had a single argument with him. go mod yourself for a change.
