  1. Finally dragged my Corrado out of the garage today (rolling shell). The engine bay is going to need painting, as will the whole interior as it's getting a weld in cage next week. Thing is, I want rid of the door mirrors too, so that means the doors need doing. one rear quarter has a scratch on the arch where I broke the window taking it out and the seal with broken glass in it whacked the arch. the bumpers aren't too clever as the rear one has a nice new scratch in it where my neighbours little get of a kid ran a screwdriver down it today (which made me shout at him a little bit...he cried his eyes out, I felt awful). Tailgate has a tiny scratch on it which you can hardly see but I know it's there. Roof is off, bonnet is like new, had that painted recently but I want a carbon one anyway!. Had the wings done last year too, but I've caught one of them and scraped it, and the other side has a dent in it where a broom handle fell onto it! Probably made it sound worse than it is, but being stuck in the garage since september 2005 it's taken a fair few knocks. Problem is, I really don't want to be spending money on paint when I've got so much else to do to the car, but now it's stripped it's seems daft not to paint it (windows are also out you see). Do you reckon it's worth breaking the bank to have it done now or am I risking it taking even more damage whilst I'm building it up? worth painting the interior and engine bay myself then getting the other bits done once it's a working, driveable car?? Also......seems ideal time to do a colour change! like the dark burgundy pearl in the sunlight, but it looks awful i the dark or dull light, goes a maky purple which I hate.
  2. coolest #plate I've seen for a long time.
  3. on the more serious side, where is that entrance? never seen another vid before of anyine joining there. I can't see what the sign says.
  4. can't believe you sold it for a TT......i seriously believe you will regret that decision. I lived with a 3.2 DSG TT for a whole week and it didn't impress me even slightly (compared to my mk4 3.2 4 motion). i hope the new owner doesn't do anything stupid to the car, it's a proper minter. what's happening with all the 301's? you could sell the lot and buy another corrado VR with the money!
  5. LMFAO!!! that's made my week, absolute class.
  6. if you subscribed you'd know ;-)
  7. Nice feature Gareth! An interesting read and some stunning shots. Cheers for the mention too.
  8. got a full steering rack too actually!
  9. might have a few of those lying around. sounds like this 4mo has had a hard life? or just not been looked after.
  10. demon tweeks modifying catalogue, page 71 spherical bearing drop links in all sorts of sizes.
  11. They sent me the "modifying" catalogue instead of the motorsport one, thought I'd have a scan through anyway. page 69 (fnarr fnarr) alignment kits. Corrado front camber tool £28.42 Corrado rear camber tool £22.15 Could be special bolts, shims, dunno really, but might be worth a try if you are looking for a bit more range on your geometry settings.
  12. looking like an inlet air leak somewhere.....or that blasted number 3 plug that didn't feel very nice when I tightened it up.....
  13. will see waht the guys come up with when they measure my corrado for it's cage in a fortnight.
  14. my MAF is only 2 months old! cheers, got 2 others I can try. (not going in the 4mo)

  16. r32 dipstick is round, audi one is a T-bar, no idea why?! yeah, just primer to protect everything for the lazy days I'm not working on it.
  17. and if you clear then do any of them come back? I'm getting loads of misfire codes myself at the moment.
  18. interior looking pretty sparse now, going to cut out all that inner wing panel. mk2's never had it, so why does the corrado need it? cage will put back in the strength. tried the seat in. feels best sat flat on the floor, but that will need and extended steering column and floor mounted pedal box. would love to do that but will see how funds go. Trimmed back the roof a bit more back on it's wheels. back to VR hubs for the time being, but with TT wishbones. bet you've never seen a pic like that before! bizarre removed a bit more of the sealant. TAS top mounts the chassis leg. for reference for all your mk2 vr6 people seat supports totally removed the roof stiffener haven't decided how much to take off at the back yet. the roof panel comes right around into the boot seal. think I'll leave some of it in.
  19. My mate was meant to have one on trial on Friday. The numpty went snowboarding instead.....
  20. depends which nes you want. the main 2 are in the downpipes. you can get at them from above or below.
