I loved with an audi TT 32 DSG all last week. I have to say the DSG didn't light my fire at all, seriously disspointing. i didn't think it felt as quick as my mk4 either.

could do, the panel istelf is literally a square metre, it's tiny, so i might buy some carbon clith off ebay and have a go myself. I've done fibreglass stuff before so it can't be much harder to work with. All smiles did all of his stuff in the garage at home. dirty great big powdercoating oven at work I could put it in to dry it off.

funny, but not really about cars anymore.

and the seal around the top fo the door is about £90!

Ok so I bottled out on cutting the roof off. I've order some tools to remove the bonded glass. So I'm saving any cutting and grinding until all the glass is out and somewhere safe (not that all of it will be going back in). mongy roof some rushed prop mounts that I never got round to painting. no dash or loom or fueboard sunroof fitting bodgery prop off, looking a bit monging under there the red crystals. still cna't decide if I like them balls, the roof skin goes right into the boot shut quick douse of rattle can black on the oz's to see how'd they'd look in black. totally gutted door, weighs half as much now
-
Too much other stuff I need to buy before I can go wasting money on stuff like that really. I'd have left the sunroof in, but it's got to come out for the cage to go in, and I can't do much else with the roof in that state other than cut it out :-( Spent today completely gutting the car. 4wd of off, fuel tank is off (scrap). entire wiring harness is out, inlcuding every single clip. dash and heater box aslo out. I stripped down the passenger door too, I can't belive the weight saving fom taking all the gubbins out! I reckon I've shaved 50KG's this weekend easy.

LMAO! quality.

I was half considering a carbon roof, but I think I'm going to have to rule that out due to the obvious cost reasons. I have another roof skin of anoter non sunroof corrado that I need to pick away at until I'm left with just the panel itself.....although I am tempted to take a mould of it before i do that....

I ripped out the aftermarket sunroof today. If I could get my hands on the twat who fitted it I'l hit him with it. What a mess. Holes drilled for the drain tubes, left unpainted. tiny bit of rust on the door shut, I always wondered why. it's because the idiot has drilled a hole from the inside and scrathed the paint off, then not treated it. dunno how I'm going to get at that to clean it up. hole nice bent roof panel looking down through the hole I reckon I've saved 20Kgs there!! I was thinking abotu a carbon roof, but for the cost involved I don't think it'd be worht it from a weight saving point of view. The corrado roof is quite a small panel anyway so it can't be that heavy. I might cut the roof off tomorrow!

you not running any inner CV joints then? ;-) seriously though, the diff does look too far back, look a the angle the shafts are not running at, pointing forwards. I'd have (and will) set the location of the diff based on the driveshafts, and have the prop shortened to suit if need be. -
