:new-bday: How long left till ya know  8)

Try Danny @ MCM his number is 01483 424815... he's normally very busy so it's gen best to call first thing or late in the day (he's norm there till 6) He was recomended to me by another C owner that works for GSF. They're based in Millford just up the A3 past Guildford - bit of a trek but def worth it as they really do know what they're doing... (it's also right next door to Millford train station so you can get home after you drop your car off) Good luck

khurrado, sorry to hear about this... can't you go back to the 'qualified' mechanic that has taken your cash and persuade him (with a sledge hammer if need be!) to put it right and use the parts that you supplied him with. At the end of the day he has charged you for a service that you haven't received!!!

technically if you are going to use stickers shouldn't use also have a '-' in the middle of the plate as well? the more I think about doing this the less point I can see in it... German plates do look good but if you go the whole hog with stickers etc then they may as well be 100% accurate (which would also mean the rear plate needs to be white) and have the dash... of course this would then make driving with them on your car very dodgy and a cop magnet, so show use only... hmmm, best keeping things simple IMHO Sorry, in geek mode this morning and just found an interesting site on the German number plate font - v interesting usefuldesign edit: just found out that not all german plates have a hyphen

yeah, but you never make the same mistake twice

I always look through PVW or Golf+ in the shop and only buy them if they have a C feature - waste of money otherwise IMO... Must admit I didn't bother with the current copy of Golf+ as the C in there has some seriously bad graphics on the sides and gay wheels :pukeleft: Think there is something in a20lees thread in the members gallery about the lack of feature this month...

I've got a momo course in mine... great wheel - had it in my mk1 before which also had C seats so it kinda felt like the same car when I swapped it over (only drove better and went faster  )

It's the amount we know we've just spent on it and the fact we know we won't get it back
-
IIRC apparently they aren't the best fit and it doesn't cover all the hoses... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong
-
I've been stung real bad by mine!!! Anyways, how is it to drive Jim? If gear selection is better and it's more of a joy to drive then it must be worth the hard earned!?!
-
Hope all is well for you Jim (and cheap too) It's always money well spent though if your C is better to drive as a result 8)

you like silver cars then? -
matt black spay paint does a good job 8)

It should be just in front of your off side rear wheel... had to have mine replaced just after I got my C but the lads at VW said these are designed to last the life of the vehicle. Not an expensive part and fairly easy to change but you'll need to jack the back up to get at it. HTH (and is correct  )

Do you think there would be more chance of getting pulled with the stickers on? They will be more noticeable at night as they won’t reflect... I'd have thought that having German plates would be borderline but the stickers may just send you over the edge...
