Are replacement handle covers still available from VW? I only got a plastic one in my poverty spec C and would like the leather one that you find in the VR 8) -
The C need lowering a bit no matter what rims you run IMO... pic in my sig will give you an idea on how RM's will look on standars suspension as they are the standard G60 rim - v. similar but one peice and not worth anything like the RM :lol: A set of 16'' RS's or even a set of 17'' RS301's will cost you close to a grand where as the 15'' RM's go for a bit less... so buying those would maybe save you enough cash for a bit of a drop?

you can get them in 15'', 16'' and 17'' and there are 2 different center designs ones with round centers with the dimples (same as the standard G60) centers and ones where the line of the spoke goes right up to the center 'nut'... I know these rims have different names but have no idea the difference as they are so similar... HTH a bit, I'm sure there are more poeple on here that are better informed these rims than me...

Probably the best feature ever put on a french car... mind you it probably desn't work properly and no doubt has to be activated from insider the vehicle at speed :roll: VR6 why are you having to put up with a shopping trolley? I've always demanded like for like when having insurance repairs carried out...

This came up a while ago and the basic answer was "no, don't do it" Apparently, it's illegal to fit it and they could only be done by the manufacturer when the car was made... so if it doesn't show in the options on your documents you'd get caught out anyway. HTH

Bad news matey!!! That road to Kates is very shit though... I've heard similar stories about the council paying out for damage caused by cr4p road surfaces - hope this gets sorted ASAP

had this problem in my MK1 and it turned out to be a faulty hazard light switch causing all the problems...

The thing I like about those are the LED downlighters... have been thinking about getting a couple of these to fit in the roof to give the cabin a bit of extra subtle lighting... randal_24, you do realise that the switches light up red which means you'll end up wanting to change them to green or do the rest of your lighting in red - lots of hard work but could be worth it :lol: Easiest way is to go and measure one up at the dealers if you wanna find out if it'll fit

Are the shelf supports (plastic bits at the sides) strong enough to take the weight of a stealth shelf or do the need strengthening? Also, will the boot lifters take the weight and lift the shelf with the tail gate?

Have them on mine and my mate doesn't have them on his German import... Way to tell is there will be wires running to the jets if you do have this feature and they are activated by turning on your rear window heater along with the mirrors 8)

If your C doesn't have a sunroof I wonder if closure would have been fitted, I ask this as no s/r suggests it was a low spec model... do you have electric windows?

I have and yes they look sh1te... really don't understand the fascination with wanting to make your car look like a Lexus (Jap cr4p) I think the In Pro's or FK's are a much more effective way of modernising the back of the C... Of course it's your car at the end of the day and you should go with what you like not what other people think!

This is something I'm thinking about doing too as have a company car and the C is just an expensive w/e toy... Just a couple of quick questions: If NCB isn't counted does that mean you don't build up any extra NCB on a classic policy as well? And also, if it's insured for low use is there a limit on your yearly milage? Cheers Phil
