from what you're saying about your lack of power it sounds like it's down on what it should be to me... might be worth getting a full check over before you start spending money on performance upgrades! Mine turned out to be down on power from day one as it was running a KR bottom end with the 9A head and had a screwed crank shaft/pulley resulting it running 4 teeth out on the timing!!! 1 Year later and it's back to original spec with the correct bottom end and apparently goes like stink (not driven it myself yet :roll: ) You basicly can't get away with a de-cat pipe at MOT time so it's a case of having to swap back I'm afraid... As for the KR cams I think they are a straight swap - something I plan to do to mine once I'm out of warrenty on the new engine.

Nice looking C and even better looking milage!!! Does need dropping though... I kinda like the dub badges on the doors TBH and would guess they were put on at the showroom rather than after original purchase 8) As for the wheels, I wasn't too keen on them whem I looked at your thread yesterday but tbh they are growing on me and like redwoodkp said they will look better for being closer to the arches! Are you planning to keep it as a nice clean original example (with a slight drop ;) ) or will it be taken further? oh yeah, and welcome to the forum matey... Phil

Just read your thread - and you know what I think but I'll say it again ;) Black with polished lip or like Darren says colour coded WPL (which I really do think would look ace) I know you originally wanted to go euro look but IMO 17 x 7.5 aren't EL - you'd want 16 x 9 to do that... plus EL has been done sooooooo many times (not that I don't like it) and I think people need to be more innovative - dare to be different 8) EDIT: corrected cr4p spelling

they do look cool 8) but tbh I find it quite easy to find all the gears in the dark :wink:

Riley, did you do the lens or the reflector? the thing I like about the ones in your firct post is that although they are yello tinted the glass is still clear... not too sure I'd do my lenses

Are the headlights for lhd only? (not sure this effects the beam pattern of the fogs?) They do look kinda cool - would be int in a pair depending on price 8)

Mate you should have a word with Rory and see if he has the receipt (unless you got it with your paper work) abd go back to GSF for a refund if possible... might help with the uber wacky prices of the crazy steelers you know

Yeah, think I'd agree with the bit about the angel eyes... I kinda like em but think that if they didn't have the rings (I guess they could be wired up to an indipendent switch - kinda like that idea) and had the plastic surrounds in the same way as the orriginals then they'd be sweet! I really like the fact that they are like the ralley lights interms of the projector lens and high beam reflector 8)

Nice looking C you have there dude... I think the grill looks good in red but I would change the badge to Black just to break up the colour a bit! I have the same steering wheel as you - a great wheel IMO 8)

This makes me laugh... how long have people been going on about wanting clear C lights and how unfair it is that they are available for all the other VAG models but not the C! Then when someone eventually makes some thay're not right, or they look kinda funny and they won't match with the fogs/indicators :roll: Mind you I couldn't say I like them either - look kinda funny and they won't match the fogs/indicators :wink: :lol:

lol you have to be dedicated to getting the shots you're after... my first experience of a C was hanging out the back of one doing a shoot of the new beetle at TRL for PVW 8)
