PMSL With out a spigot ring lining up the wheel will be much harder and there is a chance that you could bolt the wheel on off centre... so yeah they will make a difference - however the bottom line is with out one you can still put the wheel on straight if you're careful so they don't make a difference... We're now arguing practically the same point so lets call it a draw  (and I’ve got to go to work now lol)

yeah but no but yeah but no cos if the wheel is held on by 4 bolts they they are designed to hold it in the exact place to make it line up right init... spigots are only to help you guide the wheel on to the hub and make the lining up that bit easier!

Def a Grey area  Thats 2 for spigot rings and 2 against... :D

It'll go lower than that ;) You coming to N/R tonight mate? -
Nice install... if they did one in dirty grey cloth it'd blend in with my interior perfectly  How easy is it to use the hand brake with it down?
-
It's crazy that these are being sold anywhere... name made me giggle though - what was it? Dingling Bumrush
-
V sweet looking mod... let me know if you ever decide to go back to non-third light and want to sell the spoiler ;)
-
Sorry to hear about your ding Luke :? tbh... if I have to leave my car with a car next to it in a carpark I always take a photo of it's neighbours on my phone! Probably wouldn't help all that much but if you have their plate and know what car it was then you have every chance of seeing it again somewhere

hmmmm... depends how bad it was before and how much 80% really means :? as GIX' suggested try putting it on the back if you currently have it on the front (prob best to swap both sides)... I found that helped on mine and really only left me with a bit of vibration at speed.

GIXXERUK, Fair play mate... I guess it's just one of those grey area's! OK VR6, Could it be buckled? I had a bent rim on my Golf and it made a noticeable difference to how the car handled...

I'm afraid I don't agree with the comments about spigot rings... Spigot rings are only there to help guide the rim on to the hub... they don't carry the weight of your wheel - that’s what the bolts are for! If it did carry the weight of the wheel then you'd have to push very hard to get it on... basically once your wheel is bolted to the hub there will be a very fine gap between the wheel centre or spigot ring and the hub, therefore IMO a spigot ring will have nothing to do with wheel wobble or vague steering! If you're wheels do wobble or you have vague steering then check the tightness of your bolts... This was explained to me by a reputed wheel refub shop and an engineer so I have no reason to doubt its truth!

Gutted for the three of you... sorry to hear that you couldn't get it off last night! If it's any consolation I hit a fooking big hole in the road after popping over to show you guys the new rims and tracking and camber has just cost me £62.75  Why can't we ever feel chuffed with these cars for 5 minutes with out it costing money we don't have :? Let me know if there's anything I can come over and help with...

Here's my Powerflow example... If you're genuinely pleased with the fit, system and quality then put your recommendations in here theRecommended exhausts and exhaust fitters thread 8)

They are doing four campaigns for this though... so a week long per one should help get the message through to some of the numb sculls! This has to be one of my biggest gripes with other road uses - especially if they are only doing 60  Would also help though if the road surface in the left lane wasn't so badly worn from lorry's though... lowered car on 17's = tram lining :? (Although I've just had camber and tracking so maybe not anymore)

It's a Corrado... I think a few people on here have them ;)
-
Looks great Dave... def wants bringing down a touch though ;)
-
It had a front end before I got it and was repaired with an early bumper along with the fogs and indicators  Will eventually get a late spec bumper but will be happy for now with just the late fog / indicator combo... it's the one thing that I am most unhappy with!

I've heard that Alpine aren't so good at the budget end but their top end stuff is spot on... so with budget still in mind I'd be looking at that Pioneer :D
-
FurkiG60, wanna come round and give me a demo ;)
-
no... there's a couple on ebay just here
-
I'd go for the Pioneer DEH-P77.. classy looking with out any flashing displays or anything tacky and the sound quality is meant to be first class! I think they can be had for around £210 - £230 so a bit over your budget but worth it IMO 8)
-
Thats exactly what I use too... I put it in a spray bottle though and take it off with a jet spray though - makes life a lot easier 8)

I'm thinking RS logos would look sweet... just need to find one to get made up now 8)

It's quite a crazy concept... would love to see some footage! I wonder what sort of speeds they get up to?
