  1. where u based man? there is a midland meet coming up soon! Wendy is organising it. ill find the link HERE! CLICKY!
  2. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jl-audio-evolution-tr400cxi.html £53 @ CAD not bad, could find them cheaper. And no worries man!
  3. hmm, well try get you hand behind the unit, disconnect it, take it out, then have a look man. you cant really tell anything untill you remove it. GLAD YOU BROUGHT IT UP! when it comes to rear speakers in the corrado, your a bit stuck for choice. the only really available options in the uk, in the standard 4x6 size is the Alpine E-type (SH!T) (E-type = SH!T) or the Phoenix Gold Co-axial equivalent (not toooo bad) 4x6's are a hard speaker to come by. But imo the only way to go and Unknown to some, is the JL Audio TR400-CXi although these speakers are a 4" speaker they come with a 4x6 adaptor plate, making them fit perfectly in the corrado. and for £40-odd there a bargain. JL are a TOP TOP brand of speaker. the thing is, its very challenging for a small speaker to produce Good sound, (mids) so spending the extra £10 or so on the jl's over the E-types or similar REALLY pays of! :)
  4. Run a CDE 123 in mine man, all alpine single din units are made to a specific standard size. I would first assume one of 2 things, 1. the block from the harness or ISO is jammed behind the unit (but this does not explain why it will not remove) therefore more than likely 2. the Cage has been fitted incorrectly and when your "removing" the unit, your actually trying to take the cage out with it? im assuming your aware of the 2 little pop pins you have to un clip behind the stereo face? after you un clip these it should just slide straight out? if not then have a look/feel about as stated above.
  5. Johnny, I now exactly what you mean man. I throw way to much money into mine man. and Th only time i get the feeling you describe is when its been of the road for a while, or not able to drive it for ages. its driving the car that makes you love it i think. mines bin of the road for about 6 weeks now having some major work done, then shes out the garage straight into the bodyshop. and im already looking at 944's, i know full well though when i get it back n its all new paintwork and fresh engine ima be LUUUUUUUUURVING it again. just wait till next year. summer show season! thats all that keeps me going!
  6. Count me in wendy. Great to see someone organising a midlands corrado meet! ABOUT TIME TOO! count me in

  8. cummon i posted it in the (random ****) section lol. just thought there were some knowledgeable folk on here!
  9. the one i have is perfect condition, and a rarer one than that. thanks though, i never thought of ebay.
  10. Does anyone know what one of these is worth? i have found out there a really rare and sort after, i acquired it due to the lost of a relative, and upon telling a chap at the pub he instantly offered me £500 for it. apparently there worth alot but no idea how much. by any chance does anyone of here know what one of these is worth?
  11. when i put a straight through stainless 3inch pipe on mine coming of the Stainless fannymold i noticed a considerable difference, from low and top end. IMO really worth while! ---------- Post added at 10:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:11 AM ---------- Haven't had it on the rolling road since so dont know the bhp gains, but i noticed the gains sat in the drivers seat instantly. and she spits the odd flame now as well haha :D
  12. nice man. look forward to seeing them, im just not sure on matt black, just a tad samey? tad boring.... hmmm........... got a few more ideas to try out.
  13. i would say about the 190-195bhp mark, because although u get SOME gains with the manifold, cams and intake, the car also looses alot of bhp over time/mileage, so you have probably just made up for what's been lost and brought it back to the 190-195 mark, bhp gains are more difficult than people think in ways of respiratory in the case of N/A cars. EDIT: didn't see you mentioned map. yer i agree about 205-210ish
  14. yer man, quite difficult to get a DECENT satin/matt finish without it looking tacky, i looked into it and as far as matt black paint goes its all the same. I used U-POL ACID#8 Etch Primer and then halfords Grey Primer and matte black paint, all Aerosol, easy to get a good finish as long as you take you time and bake on each coat (i used a patio heater) AND BTW! thats the ONLY thing i have brought from halfords! haha
  15. What you lot think? im not sure, just refurbed the one myself to see what it would look like. took a while n may be a waste of time but i dont do things by half. OPINIONS?

    Hiya

    welcome aboard buddy!
  17. In my opinion one of the Best in the Midlands, A close friend of mine James has his own business specialising in VAG diagnostics, tuning, fabrication and modification, i just thought i would give him a mention as other than the Obvious (Stealth racing, Apr) there are not really that many good reliable garages local to us in the Oxfordshire, Midlands Area, this guy has an impressive portfolio with show winner after show winner under his belt and vast work done with MK1 Tuner CRAZY QUIFF'S I just thought some on here may be interested to know about him. with competitive prices and no compromise on quality of work, i would recommend him to anyone who settles for nothing but perfection. Atm he currently has a Facebook page with galleries of work, and information, > OBD-Works if you get a minute give it a look, and give him a shout with any queries. thanks for your time. Charlie
  18. sorry pal but 3k? i wish u all the best, but i think you havnt really researched the market very well HERE are a set of Genuine BBS RS in PERFECT condition for £1'500.... most people on here paid less than what your asking for there Corrados, im not a thread spamming nob, slating down your proposal, just trying to help you out, these are a very high regarded set of wheels and are certainly worth somewhere close to £1000 but you will struggle to sell them for 3k. as a guide, a mint set generally goes from around 1.3-2k, sets in condition to yours are in the 500-900 range. good luck with the sale though! get as much as you can for them i say!
