  1. No worries, not after making money on them, hopefully someone will improve whatever they have already got.
  2. £50 was not a mistake and they are good seats, just slight bolster/foam wear on the usual drivers side - provisionally sold but will update when I know for definite.
  3. For sale - front and rear seats (with hump) in black and purple. In good condition, with slight bolster wear on drivers side but not worn through. Can email photos if required. £50, collection only from Doncaster S. Yorks.
  4. Hi, I've got two late VR6 front wings for sale in good condition - there's been a bit of rust on them which was repaired before I bought them, but ended up repairing my original ones instead. They are in Aqua blue, and I can send photos by email if anyone wants to see them. Collection only from Doncaster, South Yorks. £120 ono.
  5. Have you seen the earlier thread about using a V5 Golf starter? Plenty on eBay for around £70 - £80
  6. Agree - I had a set of 17" Azev A's on a G60 - absolutely spot on for a Corrado.
  7. What are your plans for it? Looks pretty standard from the photos apart from the wheels.
  8. I had the same issue with the rear springs as others, and got sorted very quickly and easily by Larkspeed who I bought the kit from. The difference in height is noticeable and the car sits just right now. Obviously can't comment on Eibach other than they must have dealt wth Larkspeed with no problems. Tim.

    93 vr6

Sweet - lovely colour. What are the wheels off or are they just after market?

    Switch or motor?

Thanks for that Graham, sounds like I ought to try a motor! Tim.

    Switch or motor?

From which model Graham or do you have a part number? Why did you swap anyway - how did you know it was the motor? Thanks.
  12. Hi all, My sunroof slides back but will not close or tilt unless I use the Allen key - before I buy a mk3 golf motor, anyone got any advice or info as to what. The fault might be? Cheers.
  13. Couldn't agree more - I've had my vr6(my second one after a g60) for about 5 years now and although I've not done many miles as its a second car,I'd rather have it sat doing nothing in the garage than sell it, although I nearly put it up for sale a while ago because I just don't use it much. Thank god I saw sense!!!
  14. And a picture of drivers seat - can't be sure but looks like bolster is worn?
  15. I'll have a set please Ian, not bothered if it takes a while, can you pm me when ready? Thanks, Tim.

    Sunroof

Can't find a definitive answer anywhere - my sunroof slides back no problem, but will not close or tilt with the switch - there's no click at all when trying to use the switch. It will close fine with the Allen key. Will it be the switch or motor at fault? Thanks.
  17. MIGHT be tempted to sell my Aqua blue VR6 - 99,000 miles, no rust, just needs respray to make mint. I've gone through everything underneath, new 288mm brakes, Bilstein B12 suspension, new brake pipes and pressure regulator, jetex sports cat and full exhaust, undersealed, new rear brakes and wheel bearings, two replacement front wings plus originals, spoiler works, sunroof tilts and slides, heated leather in great condition, BMW E30 wipers, very clean engine bay, original speedline wheels, mot till April 2018, only done a few hundred miles in the last couple of years. As I say it only needs a respray - the more I think about it the less inclined I am to sell it!!! Not sure what it would be worth?? Tim.
  18. Stick with plan A - will be bit more expensive and take a bit longer but you'll still have a Corrado - plus it looks like you've got a daily driver so even easier.

    Bilstein B12

And relax!!!!!!!!! That's great, thanks for checking - thought it was right but needed to know for definite. Tim.

    Bilstein B12

Hi, Would someone with the Bilstein B12 kit on a VR do me a favour when they get chance? I would like to know whether any coils on the bottom of the front spring are touching, and if so how many? I'm sure mine are ok but they don't look right - the bottom four coils all touch - I know in theory that's how progressive springs should be, just want peace of mind!! Thanks, Tim.
  21. Thanks for the reply Jim - from what I've seen and read I thought it was normal too, but the fact that the same type of Spring on my TT has no gaps at all made me raise the question.
  22. Hi, I've got a Bilstein B12 kit on my VR6, which has had the rear springs changed for the proper ones as the springs supplied were part of the batch which were too low, but I've now got a question regarding the front springs. I've noticed that the ride is firm (expected)but the front springs have the bottom four coils all touching with no gaps at all. I realise that the coils are progressive and should to some extent be like that, but wondered what other people's were like? Is there a chance that I have springs for a 16v and the extra weight of the VR6 are squashing them too far? In comparison my TT with the B12 kit fitted has a gap between each coil on the front springs from top to bottom, hence my suspicion that there may be something wrong with the Corrado ones (and the fact that the rears were wrong as well) Any chance someone could look at the fronts on their B12 and let me know?
  23. I know all about those!
