Thanks for the advice, I'll take on board what you've said but the instructions don't tell you to cut yourself........lol Seriously I will consider your findings. Thanks again. Dave -
I think it just prises out but not 100% sure.
-
I sell the little metal switch repair arms if that's your problem - see the knowledge base for details.
-
You can use any screw as long as you can get a good purchase on the screw.
-
I think he's refering to the procedure to change the striker arm on the handle and not to remove the handle from the door.

PM me your email address. -
It does take some effort to get it to bite. I've got some other screws you can try if you get stuck.

It's a pleasure matey. -
A perfect example of how to repair your handle....well done that man :D
-
Good to hear the handle is fixed & the MOT is another year away :D
-
Walsey - you're just to kind but keep your loving to yourself
-
There was always the chance that the next weak point in the handle would surface once the new striker arm is fitted.

Hi Martin, PM me your email address and I'll email it ASAP. If you can ease the handle out of the door (to save removing door card) and send me a some pics of the handle from differnt angles I'll have a look. Dave -
I've had some shims made up at work. Let me know if you want to try some. They worked a treat for me but I guess it depends on how much the door has dropped.
-
I've got one, it's new and only used for testing apparently. I say this because I bought it off a forum member and I haven't touched it yet. You can have it for the price I bought it - £30 + postage.
-
Where did you go for your powder coating?
-
If you mean the exhaust clamp then 60mm should do it.
-
Ah yes I did notice that. Thanks
-
David, do you have a photo of the item, I might make one up at work.
-
I was hoping for markings cast into the cam itself but thanks anyway. Anyone else?
-
Any markings on the cams to tell the difference? Checked part numbers on Etka but it doesn't give anything away. Cheers.
-
Are these available to buy from VAG, it doesn't list them on ETKA. It's the caps that hold the cams in place. Cheers
-
Jim, that's interesting, I'll look out for that too.
