Yeah me too, but I'm lucky enough to say "but I've got another one".

I'm looking for the amount the tail pipe protudes beyond the rear bumper on a late 16v with standard exhaust. I'm guessing the VR is going to be the same. A measurement down the centre looking from the top should be ok. Appreciate it. Dave

I bought one from my local place, including chip programming came to £22. Car is a 93k 16v, not sure if the early ones had the chip though.

Sod the car, I look so much better in this mirror!

Mechanical spinny things

As far as shiny bits go I've got a spare inlet manifold I've started polishing.

Another update with more Stainless added, most of the parts have been made by myself. First interior shot added.

Cheers bud.

Not really no, unless you have a de-cat. I ran for a while without the CAT and it was loads louder. To be fair I'm considering changing the exhuast as I'm not keen on the sound of it, plus since I'm going turbo I think I'll need 2.5" bore instead of 2". Stu, any idea when you might be selling? Would you give me 1st refusal on your Magnex? Thanks Dave

Ah, so fitting a de-cat pipe makes them louder. I have a de-cat on my Longlife exhaust at the moment and it's too loud for me, I think I'll bang the cat back on and take it from there.
-
Cheers Stu, is it loud enough to be a pain in the neck for every day driving?
-
1, How much louder than standard (2L 16v) would this be? 2, Will there be any knocking on the rear beam after lowering about 30-40mm? Thanks Dave

Not much on this thread about Eibach springs, read views saying too hard and crashy, sit too high at the front then some say they are great. I'm looking at these for my valver but Eibach only do the 1 set for all Rado's so would this make the front end sit a little higher at the front on a valver (lighter engine)? Lots of good reviews about H&R but had these on my previous valver (supplied & fitted by Stealth) and the front end didn't sit much lower than standard which seriously put me off them. The ride quality was great though. I guess it's hard to prove whether the springs have lowered by the specified amount should I want a refund? I will be using Koni T/A's or Bilstein shocks, prefering the Koni's (had them before) for their rear height adjustment. I'm not wanting to go down the coilover route. It cost me alot to put right the wrong choice of suspension last time so I'm being ultra picky this time. Appreciate opinions on the above or any other shock/spring combintion, I'm scratching my head quite badly over this. I'm willing to travel to try before I buy. Thanks

What's the ride like on the Weitec's?
-
Come on Dave you know better than to just knock up a set for yourself  I will have a set too please! I'll get some pics up when I get chance. I can do more but it does take time to get these things together and I don't like to let people down when things don't got to plan.

Having trouble getting your parts delivered?

Great idea. I might need to get a cylinder head from Preston to Notts in the next week or so, how much for this? Dave -
I've got an i606 but what is auto locking?
-
Stu, The 16v cam cover usually has ribs running down it, have you had yours removed? Dave
-
Made them myself.

Got the Rado back from the bodyshop after my rear end was recently shunted. Very happy with the results and they touched up some other bits and pieces without me asking :D Edit - Got more shiny bits today to replace under the bonnet.

That looks like the clip that holds the fuel injector assemby in place.

Anyone wanting a repair kit will need to hold on for a couple of weeks - I'm on my hols. Dave -

Cheers Dave!! :D Just a heads up, there's someone in Germany trying to flog Corrado repair kits on ebay - Item 160138595684.. Might be an idea to beat them at their own game.. Already seen it but thanks anyway. I don't sell them on Ebay, mine are better so I save them for the good people of this Forum :D
