Anyone around Notts/Derby area with KW V1's. I'm pretty sure I'm going with these but would like a test drive to make my mind up 100%. I've been burned before with suspension so need to get it right this time. Thanks

Good luck Jim. What plugs did you use as I should do mine? -

So that's about £1100. -
Ok, made some small changes and they're now ready. I will have to write a small install guide but that won't take long. Price posted is - £12 if you DON'T need the appropriate drill bit and Tap. £16 if you DO need the drill bit & TAP. PM me if you want a kit. Thanks Dave

I had some work done at Autobodytec in Sandiacre, did a decent enough job. They're supposed to be renowned for work on Supercars as well. -
If a grand would sort the problem then yes the car would be very good value.

I've got a chance to get hold of a VR with 158k on the clock but the seller describes the engine as 'tappety from cold' until warm. The chains and tensioners have not been replaced, does this sound bad or normal for this mileage? The car does have FSH and 12 month MOT. I've viewed the car today and other than the 'tappety noise' it sounds ok. I have the chance to get this VR at a very very low price. Thanks for any help. Dave

I would say your only hope would be your copper friend. My only other suggestion would be to put an annonymous note on the car asking for the owner to contact you in the hope that the owner may drive/walk by out of curiosity and see the note.

1st bracket is done and sent to Cazza.
-
Bear with me on this, I will hopefully have the kit ready at the weekend.
-
I've got a late back box if you need one, I don't want anything for it, collection only form M1 J25.
-
The items I have are for a 16v, not sure if they'd fit a VR.
-
Have you any of them available Dave? Or a list of things now? The radiator lugs, bonnet post and seat levers (underneath ones) for example... I don't have any of those items available at the moment but I could if there was enough interest. I'll make a list when I get the chance, is there anything in particular you are wanting?

I made most of the parts, the screws I polished up myself.

This is the second time you have made negative comments about the parts I sell, do you have something against me or is this something to do with your 'education'? I have sold many of these kits, probably more than you think and I've not had 1 comment about them being clunky or not working? The part that I supply is as close in design as possible (whilst trying to keep the cost down) to the OEM part, in fact it's better because it doesn't break. Just last week I had an enquiry from someone who had bought a repair kit from someone else and it didn't work, are you sure your friends don't have one of these? I have used my kits on my car so am able to monitor it's performance and I have had no problems. I welcome feedback from anyone who buys my parts and I do get feedback but it's seems strange that you are the only one who has made such a comment about it's operation. If anyone has a problem with this kit then they should get in touch with me. If you would like to discuss this further then please do it by PM as negative comments have a tendancy to 'mucky' the forum and i have too much respect for that.
