Started burning oil since Harewood, took it out this Saturday and it got worse. Took it out Sunday and lost at least 1 cylinder. Pulled the plugs out to find badly oiled plugs 1 and 2, probably head gasket failure. So it's now sorned and tucked away in the garage :(

Leave it with me for a while, I'll look into it.

I cocked up with the photos and was only showing the small one so he's paid for that one. I've updated the thread with the correct photo of the large one.

Possibles are - Circlip broken on the end of the pivot shaft, lift the gaiter surround up. Rubber bush on the end of the cable at the bottom of the actual gear stick has fallen apart. Bush at the gearbox end of the cable fallen apart. Adjuster(s) come loose at the gearbox end of the cables. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you've all got it sorted but if you struggle I can help out.
-
I'll come along but won't be on the rollers, next time it's on the rollers will be for a remap.
-
Sounds ok to me. I've changed all parts of my cooling system and it runs pretty much the same as yours.
-
Is there wiring and an unused plug in that area?
-
It will only fix the tunnel cover down not the bent handbrake, this happens on all Corrados and sooner or later the floor fixing will break.
-
Hasan, no it's not lacquered, I'll just have to keep on top of it as and when.
-
Still have these available.
-
As much as I'd like to make my own I don't have time at the moment and I need to spend cash on other things so the 42dd will have to wait. So I'm still in need of a standard item.
-
I do like the idea of the crackle Black but then they do a Stainless version as well, both would compliment my bay very well.
-
My inlet elbow decided to split on the way up to Harewood House yesterday so I need a replacement. Ideally I'd like an OBD2 elbow but will settle for OBD1. Thanks Dave

Welcome, as said by Dox that will be aux pump, it's situated next to the 42 pin plug.
