25th Anniversary National Day - Castle Combe
daves16v replied to vornwend's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Ahh yes I'd like to know too. ---------- Post added at 10:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:24 AM ---------- Thanks Chris, congrats on your runner up place. -
Hi, drop me a PM if interested. Cheers Dave

Looks great, what suspension are you running?

There's only left to right adjustment of the gear stick at the gear stick end. There is a rubber bush in the end of the forward/backward movement cable attached to the bottom of the actual gear stick. I have seen this disintegrate resulting in poor shifting. I would check this, if it's bust then let me know as I've got some spare.

25th Anniversary National Day - Castle Combe
daves16v replied to vornwend's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Had a really good day today, nice to meet old faces and some new ones. Many thanks to Judith, Ian, Eric and Ron for organising and running the day, well done to you all! The parade laps were fun too, kind of got me thinking about doing some track days, never done any before. Thanks to those who voted for my car, much appreciated although there were many very presentable cars on the stand. My wife recorded the start of the parade laps with a total of 48 Rado's on track, Charlie's Turbo VR stands out for your audio pleasure, crank the sound up. Hopefully the link to the video works - http://s531.photobucket.com/user/davesb/media/CCGB%20National%20Day%202013/CCGBNationalDayParadeLap_zps238846a6.mp4.html Some pics from the day. -
Try and beat this one - I arrived at the 4 wheel alignment centre today 20 mins before my time, parked up outside and sat for a couple of mins. The centre is situated on a small industrial area and a chap walks towards my car probably from another unit in the area. He alters his direction slightly to take a look at the grill badge and walks away behind the car and then turns and takes a second look at the rear. I get out and sit at a bench next to the wheel alignment centre when a minute later the chap having his car done comes out and says "nice car mate" and says he's got a 1987 Audi Quattro that needs some tidying. We chat for a minute. Anyway he goes back in the garage and 1 minute later a chap in a hire van driving past slowly stops and says "nice Classic car there mate, it's in good nick", then goes on to ask if I've got it in for wheel alignment and I say yes, he then says "they're good here, had my Audi TT done here". I knew they're good as I've been here a couple of times. So the guy in the garage reverses out and I drive in, up goes the ramp and the mechanic sets up the laser kit on the wheels. Couple of mins later a guy walks in and says "lovely car mate". Maybe it has something to do with there being an independent VW/Audi specialist and a VAG dismantler both on the same industrial area. So I drive away with a big grin on my face. Nice!

The other adjuster is at the end of the other cable, you will need to remove the weight to access it.

Take a look at the brackets on your car, you'll see why. Yes they fit VR rads. -
It's pretty close to be honest.
