  3. this feed for the ashtray light will be 12v ,you need to reduce the voltage from 12 down too somewhere near 5volts a little over won't make any differance ,the cheapest way to do this is with a resistor from one of the big radio spares companies like "maplins or radio shack " don't wire 12v directly to your mp3 player it will just go bang Rob

why not bond some plastic arches on for the test then remove them later ,must be boarder line out of the arches ,flaring metal arches will not be cheap and will need painting afterwards this way you have a year to sort it out mk2 golf arches may do the trick no pretty but only for the test rob

  7. no syncromesh on reverse i dont think ,clutch may be tacty a little first thing in the morning and draging or maybe the clutch needs bleading and as said above new oil is away a good thing ,does it happen after a short drive if not just put new oil in and get into the habit of engaging 1st before putting it in reverse Rob

    Thief!!!!

the most annoying thing about this is dare i say it "it's more than likely a fellow corrado owner replacing his (they wot fit anything else )and because his has been nicked by someone else " it's a mad world we live in ,all we can hope is they broke it putting it on their car and they get caught by a six foot nine rugby player when they try to pinch another Rob

  15. your not the only one jay i got a letter today telling me about their changes to the set up and the intention to reduce the membership fee to £10 per year, dropping the hard copy of the rabbit going more internet based and giving me the chance to object ,they have been clever about the way the letter is worded as you have to reply to object and as most of those that would object can't be bothered to reply anyway as i said above hope they pull it off but they won't be having any more of my money sorry Rob
  16. i think light colours show the lines better :) Rob
  17. i'm a member of club gti have been for around 4 year won't be paying next year as our local branch has broken away due to the members feeling they weren't getting value for their money , i have to say personally i felt the we were being treated as second class members compaired to other regions. £25 is a lot of money for a few mags and they are becomming full of adds , hope they pull it together don't want to see them fold but they do need to open their eyes and see the whole picture Rob corrado club member polo club member club gti member newport edition member
  18. as said above oil can get contamiated with petrol passing the rings and as it warms and turns to petrol vapor the crank case breather feeds this vapor back into the inlet manifold to be reburnt this can lead to a richer mixture,as its so close try a hard 30 min drive before the test to burn off all the petrol vapor sometimes getting the engine hot can sort out small over readings of co2 rob
  19. 16v one has another vaccum conection audi 80 is an 8 valve i think and will only swap with an 8 valve engine ,mod is used too give extra fuel with mk 1's and early k-jet mark two's so in short no can't swap sorry Rob
