  1. That must have been a terrible burden! I'd like to offer my ambulance-chasing-in-a-Skyline service for free :)

Nice. Those Speedlines are really doing the rounds on this forum!
  3. They are. The signal wire is green I believe. The vacuum connection is for the MFA; I guess it's different on the G60 because it's calibrated to read the positive forced-induction pressure as well as vacuum. I'm still sure it can be done, even if it's not plug and play.
  4. All I know is that they're one of the few cars that look good in brown!
  5. If you're even slightly bothered about running costs then the G60 is probably best avoided from what I can tell!
  6. I don't think so; as far as I'm aware it's scaled differently.
  7. Definitely not. If you did that you'd have a car that showed 8k RPM at a true 7k RPM.
  8. It looks to me like the early and late clocks are quite different inside. It may be just because the images are generic, or that there's an extra removable plastic mounting piece around the early rev counter. Either way, the part numbers would suggest minor revisions only meaning the connections are likely to be the same. Just guessing though.
  9. I'll take a look but I'm not confident... I've got a set of clocks from a 1990 Mk2 Golf GTI that probably use the same rev counter guts as the Corrado I can take a look at if all else fails.
  10. ETKA doesn't give that kind of detail. I'm can't see why it wouldn't work; it's just another frequency counter with a different scale after all. If it's not a direct fit I doubt it'd take much work.
  11. Nothing a quick trip to http://www.mininova.org/search/top+gear/added wont fix! There's already four torrents running of the second episode.
  12. I really dislike the Motronic system. If the conversion is in a Mk2 you may as well use the 2.0 engine and the K-Jet injection since you won't need all the emissions bollox that comes with the Motronic. I'm having a hell of a time fault-finding on a 9A Corrado at the moment. K-Jet is pure simplicity. However, if you have the Motronic parts and don't have the K-Jet parts it's a no-brainer I guess. To be honest, if I was in your position, I'd go for door number three and stick with the Digifant injection and get that remapped instead. It'll be fairly straight-forward and you'll need very few extra parts, such as a fuel rail and digi injectors. Just imagine the time you'll save with the wiring!
  13. I watched the feature racing on TV and fell asleep; it was marginally more interesting than the F1 though. On a lighter note, nice pics :) That Clio's a minger.
  14. I don't know why you wouldn't have compression, it was just an idea. It seems to me that fuel is making it out of the exhaust if there are no leaks and the garage smells of petrol after a bit of cranking. Add to this a spark and you should be getting some sort of firing even if it's in the exhaust.
  15. *mental note* Never accept a 'phone call from PhatVR6.
  16. ...I see dead people. (see other thread about you)
  17. Is the closed-throttle switch on the throttle body being switched as soon as the throttle is closed? It's a stab in the dark since you haven't touched it but it'd fit with the initially dodgy idle if the ISV isn't being triggered to open soon enough.
  18. The photos from this area were taken in summer 2003, so I can see my last Mk2 Golf GTI in the drive.
  19. It's not me being hard on myself, I think I'm awesome; it's those others.
  20. I know many people who would agree that I'm a git.
  21. Last Visit: Sat May 13, 2006 7:32 pm ....nope.
  22. He seemed like a fairly dull chap though, I thought. The feature would have been better with a more enthusiastic collector.
  23. ...drove it. Quite a rare occurrence these days. It's nice to know that, now I've found the source of the current drain, I can leave the car unused for two weeks and it'll start with no problem.
