The car wash may have had fixed cameras but I'd expect it had a whole array of overload emergency shut-down systems too. I don't believe it would have been able to catch fire as a result of what happened in the feature. That I would agree with!

Settle an argument please - Veyron ??

According to How Stuff Works it's more like 45,000 litres per minute. The calculations are all there. -
I've got two spare switches plus the one in the car. I'm gonna have to pull 'em all apart now just to see if they're the same!
-
Jeez, you really believed that was genuine?! As if the camera man would be hanging around inside a burning car wash.

Blimey. They don't hang about...http://www.mininova.org/tor/303374 Feel free to delete this post if a link to the torrent file is considered inappropriate :)

Was it definitely boiling? Isn't the operating temperature of the fan switch slightly above boiling...like 105 degrees? If the fan works with shorted connections and the fan switch is new then I'd say it's fine.

It'll be available for download on the Bit Torrent network tomorrow for sure.

If you're talking about 17s with a 40 profile then I doubt there's much in it between any brands.
-
Oh yeah...that too! :)

I care. Frankly. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be watching it every week but it's just heading the wrong way as far as I'm concerned. I have a bit of a problem with Hammond these days too on account of his moronic column in the Motorcycle News.

Are you kidding me? Entertaining, sure...over-scripted, hell yes. For me Top Gear peaked a few years ago.

Your fan is fine but the test doesn't prove the fan run-on switch. Does the fan ever run-on when you turn the ignition off?

CorradoDriver, what model of Corrado do you have?
-
Norwich, eh? For a rare-ish car there aren't 'alf a lot of Corrados in Norfolk! Looks peachy on the black wheels.

My 1990 16v does the same thing with the sidelights and so does my mate's 1990 16v. I always thought that was strange.

Surely if the oil had gotten past the piston rings then it'd already be in the combustion chamber ready for burning. It wouldn't need to be piped there. The breather system is to equalise pressure and transport the oil mist from the crankcase to the engine intake. The oil mist is created as the downward motion of the pistons increases the pressure in the crankcase and the moving air takes some oil with it. If the breather pipes become blocked then the pressurised oil still has to go somewhere, i.e. past gaskets, seals and piston rings. If you overfill the engine with oil you'll find that it gets messy!

Great looking car chap. I think it'd benefit from a late-style grille though (and maybe even a black VW badge).

I think I've confessed my love for your Corrado (and Polo) in this thread before...but it needs to be said again! I love this car.

I'd be looking at the ISV first, followed by the connections to the ISV, follwed by the closed throttle switch on the throttle body.

You little tease!

Gran Turismo 4 - what do you think of it?

I haven't turned the PS2 on since this thread died! -
I think you're onto a winner there. I'm amazed they don't advertise them as Bosch on the site.
-
730hp...not bad!
-
I'm pretty sure jedi_knight's VR6 was a dead ringer for a Classic Green Storm.
-
To be honest I'd still buy Bosch injectors if these fitted or not.
