  1. Mmm ebay Waffle I'm afraid! VW UK never sold a MK2 2litre Valver!!! 2litre 16V motor was found in the Corrado and Passat GT's, plus various Audi's but never found it's way into a MK2!!! Notice no engine shots??
  2. Don't think you can get a 180bhp engine with a cable throttle! Like I said I can put you in contact with the guy that did the loom for mine, he'll be a hell of a lot cheaper than q-peng! Plus you'll be able to run VAG-Com aswell! Don't think q-peng has the ability to run the VVT on the later engines either!
  3. Well using the DBW throttle, you'll need to fabricate a bracket for the pedal and get it welded into the footwell! You can use the 1.8T 'box too, just change the output flanges! The q-peng Downpipes are quite good for the money and it would prob cost more to get somebody to fabricate one for you!!!
  4. Jabba Sport sell the Rev Counter Converters, thats where mine came from, think it was about £40! Where can you get the KO4-001 Turbos from or are they a KO3s/K04 Hybrid??? Do the have the same fitment as the KO3s?? If so It would save me having to change the Manifold and downpipe on mine  I already have the MAF, injectors etc! I have a KO4 but it is from a TT!!! Anymore info would be sweet :)
  5. Mines an AUQ KO3s Motor, came from an Octy vRS! I agree with most peeps that if you want a good reliable motor to use everyday then find a KO3s! Mine is std but with a decent FMIC, Zorst and Filter is good for 195bhp on Awesomes Rollers! Mapped up it should be good for 240ish :) A mapped 225 motor should give you roughly 280bhp but you're looking at a £500-£1000 price difference over a KO3s Motor!! I paid a grand for my motor complete with all ancillieries, wiring harness, ecu and Gearbox, that was over 2 years ago, sure they will be cheaper now!! It's running Full VW Management and the DBW, Std Corrado clocks so it all looks very factory! In 2 years I have had no probs with it at all, it is a quick reliable car and it sounds Awesome on full boost :) I can give you the contact number for the guy who did the Harness on mine, he is very clued up and will charge 1/2 what qpeng is!!! As Kev says go for the latest Engine you can afford, but make sure you get everything you need from the one car! Mixing and matching can lead to a few odd problems
  6. After Andy Sold His I think Mine has been the only Nugget I've seen at the Shows so far :(
  7. Can'y Honestly Remember how low the sump was on my Valver!!! The 1.8T has a sensor going to the sump and the sump is alloy so if you tw@t it it will break unlike the valver steel sump that will just bend!!!! Only realistic way of making the sump lower would be a dry sump!!! But Dunno who makes a Kit and I expect it would be rather Preicey!!!
  8. Who's doing it for you??? I Found These : http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=218547 Could be useful  No you can't see the FMIC when the bumper is on which I like as it gives a stealth impression.....Fit a decent Re-Circ Valve too! I can throughly recommend the Forge Split-Diverter as it gives subtle wooshy noises too  I got my Brembo set-up in a swap :norty: So did quite well!!! You could change to 5 x 100 and it would give you more brake/wheel combo's but I can see why you'd stick to 4x100 also!!! Just watch what wheels you run with Brembo/porky callipers as my wheels have bugger all dish yet you can barely get a fag paper between the calliper and innr surface of the spokes
  9. My Rado's been 1.8T'd now for about 2 years!!! AUQ Motor, so KO3S turbo, DBW Throttle, VVT etc! It's running Std VAG Engine management with the Later ME7.5 software...dunno the difference between 7 and 7.5 like...Maybe The Lord of VAG Knowledge Kev can explain  I'm using the 1.8T 'box which suits the motor nicely!! Just change your output flanges for 100mm ones from a 110TDi 'box or as soembody else says from an ABF 'box!! 02J 'box is a far superior 'box to the 02A ones! Make sure you swap the shift tower over or it wont work :) I'm using std Corrado clocks too so it looks pretty factory! If you need a loom making and the ECU de-transpondering I can give you the number of Andy the VW Electrical god! he can sort that for not huge amounts well probs 1/2 the price of Qpeng anyway!!! Custom Cooler sits nicely between the chassis legs and was a pretty good price coming in at less than £400!!! You can use a Merc Sprinter one though!! Overall it look pretty factory though: Power wise mine makes 195Bhp thats with a decent FMIC, Zorst and a Filter!!! Chipped up it'll probs be near 230-240Bhp!!! On the Road it goes like fook   Just remember to fit some decent brakes as 280mm G60 ones are Rubbish!!! If you are 5-stud find some Octy vRS 312mm or 4 stud I went with 4-Pot Brembos!!! It's an excellent conversion just remember anything over 300bhp will need either a GT28 or IHI VF34 turbo and decent engine work or it'll go pop very quickly...usually on no.3 cylinder!!!!
  10. Pretty quick TBF! WRX Scoobs are my fave to beat because the owners think thy have a quick car! Not tried it up against an STi yet though! My rule with c0ck wagons is if it has 1 exhaust it's toast, 2 and it'll be pretty even, just depends who gets the drop 1st, 4 exhausts and it'll murder me  :help: TT's and R32 Golfs are also slow.........
  11. Got Whupped by an Evo8 on the Way to UD!! Turned the stereo off so I could hear him drop him boot it but he still pulled about 6-7 car lengths on me :( Need that KO4 methinks!!! BTW Evo's dunt 1/2 throw some 5hit out of their exhaust..........worse than my vRS!! Best was literally killing a Calibra turbo about 30min after getting dicked by the evo! Pushing him along when all of a sudden a very large cloud of white smoke erupted from the calibra and he pulled across 3 lanes towards the Hard Shoulder  Crappy Vauxhalls!!!! :epicfail:
