  1. Sweet! That design is possible then??? Can we add a piece on for the ring to go through??? So what are the next steps to get some produced? Cheers Steve
  2. looked Good on Thursday Mate!!!
  3. My mate forwrded these too me.....Cool I'm Famous on You Tube LOL :) Drag Racing: http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=8Bp1J2Jj6kQ Rolling Road day at Awesome: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DXBLIw6usR4
  4. Good stuff! Think there is a few of us who've done it now!
  5. Mmmmmm ATF fluid for the Lose :( Glad your getting it sorted Coxy, about frickin' time! Andy and Andy will do a good job!!!
  6. Must admit I did think about that, and I've had one before so know what they're like to work on. Very light, and the 1.9 I had was impressively quick. But completely unforgiving! If I had a pound for everytime that thing went straight on when it was meant to go round a corner..... :pale: Definitely interested in Andy's idea about the Jetta though, always heard they handle better due to the weight over the rear axle........ and I'd certainly be interested to hear a price on the Seat shell, but would it need to be trailered to the track? mk1 golfs are also definitely an option, thinking about it I've seen quite a few well built mk1's that run rings around most things. So many options! Steve's Idea about the Jetta  :confused4:  Will ask about the seat Shell for you :)
  7. More e4xpensive to buy though......Can't really get a solid non rusty Mk1 for less than £2K can you????
  8. I'd forget the golf and go for a Jetta, as they handle a lot better than a Golf! Plus you can get them a damn site cheaper than the equivalent MK2!Leaves more of your £3K budget for engine naughtyness and big stoppers! Go for an injection model though so that you're not pissing around with fuel tanks etc! Or even a Mk2 Skyrocket, pretty cheap and better looking than a golf or a jetta! I did now of a fully prepped Seat Cordoba Shell for sale though, full FIA Approved roll cage and perspex windows for sale.....can see if it's still available if you are interested???
  9. I feel a run to Hartside cafe again :)
  10. Mine aren't Reps :) Suspension is very Siezed H&R Coilovers lol! Gotta get some new stuff and get it set-up properly as I think it sits too high! Thanks for all the congrats guys!
  11. woo hoo quad posts :) Think yuo'll need the dongle thing from Jabbasport! Thats how i got mine working :)
  12. Well I got Married on the 30th of August to my beautiful wife Emily! Used the Corrado as the wedding car :) Here are some pics of the day! It took me ages to clean it but it's come out really well in the pics I think! Emily suggested using it which made me smile! Not included a load of wedding snaps as I doubt you'd all want to see them :) I think the number plate is quite good though........didn't notice till my best man pointed it out! It was not much fun driving it home in that state......And Confetti gets bloody everywhere...still finding it now LOL!!
  13. that'll be no then :).......Get it sorted
  14. Right finally got it cleaned up! Clay bar'd, Waxed with Megs Gold Class, Autogylm'd the bumpers up etc and tire blacked it! It's come up really well! There was some horrible crap on the paint, but thankfully the clay bar took that off and has left the paint like glass! Pics: Just gotta get the Cambelt changed and then it's ready for daily driving :)
  15. Cheers Guys, Not had much time to do stuff to it :( Still needs a good clean up!
  16. Test Drove one on Friday! Very quick, The Magnetic Ride Suspension works very well, the driving position is very comfortable, but you can see bugger all through the back! The seats are awesome, on the Demo the Sat Nav shat it's pants which was quite funny, didn't know where we were at all! The boot is massive, room in the back is not bad, I could get in with not much trouble! Love the mesh round the lights, the way the VW badge is on the bonnet, makes the front end very aggressive. The liitle humps that cover the boot hinges are quite quirky and I love the angles and swage lines that seem to disappear and re-appear on the rear quarters depending on where you stand! If I could afford one I'd have one, £500 cheaper than the equivalent golf GTI too!!!
  17. I thought they were Rally Reps as you had the Awesome Group B UR Quattro and in Group A they rallied the 80 Saloon abeit in Quattro form....
  18. Right, well Chuffed to bits as finally have one of these Uber Rare 80's Rally Reps! Basically same 1800 motor as Golf GTI but way cooler  Got it from a chap down in Lincolnshire, Picked it up and drove it home on sunday!! It is a very original car! 73,000 miles in Zermatt Silver, Has all the correct stickers, even the window stickers! Pity the dealer plates are gone :( Does have a bill of sale from 1986 (part ex'd after 3 years) for £5995  Still has the original M21 Melbourne stereo fitted and it works too! Not used to having to retune it as driving along though :D:rolleyes: It's in very good order, has a couple of small rust spots and is just starting to go under the screen (Must sort that out ASAP) but overall is solid as a rock! 12 months MOT too! Sorted! Has some wheels and interior that I haven't seen before, am lead to believe from the previous owner that as this is one of the 1st Sports then the seats and interior only ran for 1 year! Anyway....some pics after I drove it home! Anyone seen these before??? White audi rings???? Interior Out for a good clean! A neighbour of mine is a car valeter and lent me some super dooper interior car detergent......worked a treat and it has come up very nice, just a pity about the sun turning the black seats purple :( Lovely brown dash aswell very 80's Original radio and VDO Gauges Sports Seats? Low miles..... Gave it a damn good clean and put it back together, the drivers seat has semi collapsed on the back rest but know a good upholsterer who can sort that: The engine bay is very clean! Motor runs very sweet and goes fairly quickly too! Has a very odd sump though.....Anyone shed any light, Dunt look standard and wondered if it was an original dealer performance part??? Finally some pics with my 1.6CL! Is it just me or is the sport very different at the rear??? Did they use different shells or is it just 'cos the sport is 3 years older??? Well thats it for now! Interior is sorted, just gotta give it a damn good wash, claybar, polish and wax, sort the bumpers and I'll post up some more pics :D What you guys think???
  19. My Birthday on the 8th, Look what my Darling G/Friend Bought Me..... Mmmmmm Haven't bulit it yet!!!
