finally got the rivets from VW. Unfortunately they are no longer black so i may have to paint them, unless i can take one somewhere to find a better replacement. Vw part no. N90576301 Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

You're going to have to test from the bulb point onwards with a continuity tester. Check positive to negative to ensure there is nothing short circuited. Is the wiring free with no crazy fixing screw into anything. Probably telling you what you've already checked! !! Can you get a wiring diagram for this circuit and is everything else working. Jim if sometime you could measure me the distance from the spring plate up to the 1st threads on the piston, and from the spring plate down to the centre of the fixing eye,that would be a great help. Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Its monroe. My fault for fitting something to keep it standard. Should have left the crappy cheap coilovers on that it came with. I've got it apart now and no way can it go shorter either. I think I seriously need someone's standard suspension to measure the parts as this is ridiculous. I know I had issues with the fronts I was first supplied as they didn't have the smaller pigtails for the later model top mounts. And they may have been mk3 golf ones !!! Not annoyed. Much. Thinking angle grinder time.. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
