I have two sets of BBS RA and my mates having the one set off me after constant nagging, so be rude not to mix it up a bit and get some sebrings. I had them painted like factory and new caps - but thought come on get a set of sebs although I like a psare set of oe as you have four spare .
-
After a complete set of Sebring alloys including centre caps for the MK2 no nasty damage . Based in the midlands. Thanks
-
They look good there for sure.
-
Also if you can take it off professional companies clean them.
-
Have you tried giving it some high revs- sometimes it unchokes it famous in the transit world. just below the red and a few minutes. I did this and a crap load of ash spat out the exhaust and ran like a dream afterwards- not an adblue vehicle though.
-
You can still buy them new from classics mate but congrats on the mot.

Looks good mate- I have the cleanest slam panel known to man kind its a red one with absolute no rust but it is for a 4 cylinder- damn !
-
Thanks Dox thats good to know about the Mk4.
-
Just checked mate they are Girling . As you say looks like I have another job on the list - the callipers have had someone work but by the looks of it just a paint of black and some green stuff pads - they look nice but hey ho that dont mean they work well - all to common when you buy a car and think great thats one job that dont need doing but comes back to bite you on the ass- nation of half jobbers 😅

I had rhe car facing down the hill mate and sprayed the back where the cable attaches to the the clip and also the handbrake sheaf cable with a straw hoping it would dribble down inside the plastic casing- pretty sure it will play up again as I suppose its just the first signs of something failing - the pads are really confusing though as the ones that seemed to be available where for Lucas callipers and these will be Girling I think . Is this why the Mk4 is a popular mod because they like to jam? These are the nos availble they are the last few and obsolete. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-of-rear-brake-calipers-Golf-MK2-GTi-1987-92-Corrado-535615423-424-Genuine/123988348887?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 Pretty sure the corrado rears are Lucas from memory ?

Hi a bit of advice please- its for my mk2 golf valver but hope you dont mind. So the rear right brake is seizing it is the stock set up gilring 226 mm. I was thinking it was the clutch burning but after further investigation its the rear brake. I went for quick spin and good smell the burning on the disc and other side disc to touch was cold and bad brake was very hot. could of bee Will this be the calliper itself or could it be the handbrake cables freezing- weather been very cold this week . You can stil get a rear set of new OE Gilring for about £180.00 - but the brakes were refurbished a few years back by the looks of it. Any advice would be appreciated which way to go. I do have a set of used mk4 rear callipers and some 280 mm front in un refurbished condition . Thanks

Sorry thats what I meant your mates car looks better. I bet a minority of these low mileage cars have had the clocks fiddled before each mot- all sorts of crooks out there. -

Jesus I had a couple of sport fords in the past but never had the build quality of vag. My brother in law owned a brand new whale tale in the 80s in a light blue colour - car is still about and owner contacted him last year. He then went on to 928 - e married my sister and got a dingy instead to use on the Avon 😅 -

I would say you are spot on- or a buyer that thinks a classic car is like a new car that has less mileage will be in better condition. After owning and restoring several classic cars I feel like most members on her we no what to look out for and shall we say clued up. -

I take it we have all noticed this low mileage storm for sale at auction- all ready at 20k. The seller was on facebook and presented himself as what would appear a long time Corrado owner / he soon got caught out by a few comments. Why do they do this surely honesty is the best policy . What would people on here want from a Corrado for 20k- would have to have some recaro in there at least for me - does anyone else instinctively feel some of these low miler cars might not be the great buys they appear to be ? I mean a good wax polish and in a showroom with lights reflecting on the body can make a car look real good. From reading the description its still on original 25 year old suspension so that's 10 years past its life span- i don't care its done 45k miles the plastics still degrade on the timing chain - in fact can anyone see any preventive maintenance or anything major done to the car- this car could cost you an absolute fortune after purchasing with things going wrong - for me I would have no interest in this car that the dealer probably paid 5 k in part ex a couple of years back, It also mentions surface rust on the scuttle - a sign the car has lived mostly outside and debris build up? Are we actually looking at the worst value corrado in the country at 20 K ? I would imagine what I have spent on my car that cost a fraction I would be spending the same on this? https://themarket.co.uk/listings/volkswagen/corrado-vr6-storm/b70a4cae-9c88-45f1-99c7-e6f3b8e0447e?status=live&fbclid=IwAR2SZLRTMfETJwg91akoq13Jv6MSLQLqtUwnqQ_kc_Pil2BGZLcn04DRawM -
ABV you get every thing in picture but he normally likes you to give long piece furthest right bottom corner as exchange because he mods it for 6 gears.

All the links have been changed in the bay and I have new gear box fork so should be nice- I wont have 6 on gear stick decal but I know its there ha. He has some VWMS casings left but not many- I purchased it because it will be uniformed with my project and I'm also a fan of VW motorsport . Here are the ratio options ---------------- 5TH 6TH OPTION 1 - (0.79) (0.75) OPTION 2 - (0.95) (0.84) OPTION 3 - (0.95) (0.75) OPTION 4 - (0.95) (0.79) I took option 1 as of advice from Vince at stealth as instructed for road use. Option 1 has ran out I had the last one but other three options available. He is commercial business and does not deal with the public at most- but drop me a private PM and I can help-

That is exactly what it is mate an add on that gives you better driving experience in 5 th gear and also adds on 6 th gear- yes it bolts on to corrado 02a gearbox but you need to drill a few holes in casing to allow good lubrication. Gemini were contracted by VWMS to build there special racing gearboxes- his based in the South/ Midlands UK and this is no surprise as its like the silicon valley for motorsport - rally - formula one etc many business around there like Prodrive etc. My VWMS kit is Helical cut which is nicer and more tame/quiet for a road car - Gemini is also famous for their legendary straight cut dogleg gearboxes for track cars which get you straight into the power range with no wastage and time lost- these are very noisy and harsh for road car though. Here is one of there famous dogleg boxes 1-6 second hand for mk2 golf. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/020-Motorsport-Dog-box-With-Kazza-Diff-Gearbox-Rare-Mk1-Golf-Mk2-Golf-G60/254841976910?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l914
