Ok an update on the three pin Hella fan - I didn't get to stealth last Saturday as forecast was snow and didn't want to risk the Rado with bad drivers on the road. Anyway I cant see how it could of worked properly with three pins as speed 2 would be redundant so sent it back and got a refund . So I contacted classics and they have the part below and confirmed it is 4 pin but 400 euro, however I found another seller on ebay from Lithuania for a genuine nos unit for £230. Could be but you have to remember a lot of foreign sellers cannot achieve the sums they are asking for in their own countries- we seem to big the biggest suckers at paying the high prices. As long as you use paying for an item on paypal will be fine- if seller does not accept then walk away.

A lot of money indeed but as they were £300 new 15 or more years ago inflation would be about correct in todays money £550. so comparative as the ones for sale were also new. . P.s it weren't me I got a second hand set !

The best way to look at these cars values I think is the difference is between a derelict barn or a renovated barn conversion.

Would it not of been a better idea to buy a 8k one that was well sorted and could enjoy straight off the bat ?

In regards to speaker size you had to ask audioscape to cut out size od speaker otherwise they would come holeless and you would cut the size yourself to suit- (6.5 I think) was pretty much the biggest size you could ask to be cut so maybe cutting out the 7 inch caused the issues .

Interesting the audioscapes are fibreglass on the inside - these look like a repaired set or even a prototype. The external looks spot on. They will be very heavy now- somone would still buy them but at a less of a premium.

Put a picture up they also made them for Mk2 golfs, some fords and BMW .
