  2. Looks like a Superduke. Not sure what VW can add to KTM experience, especially with KTM expanding their ranges.
  3. Joined, although I hope once the Corrado is sold I will still be allowed to continue!!
  4. Hi I am after a multi meter to help me fix problems with my bike, but would like one that I could use on any future bikes/cars etc. I am bit confussed with all the variety so does anyone have any recommendations? Any thing I should be looking for, any ranges which are useful? Thanks
  5. Hi Will a mk3 steering wheel fit the vr6? Its the same design just wondered if it had different spline or anything? Thanks
  6. Point taken  I think I am just worrying about nothing. Thanks people.
  7. This is true, although the insurance company never actually saw the car, they just sent me a letter saying it wasnt worth repairing (again although not having seen the car or heard about what had happened). I spoke to them and they agreed that it was worth repairing. The letter seemed to be a standard letter they would sent to everyone with an older car. The only damage was bonnet, slam panel and headlight, no damage to the engine bay or anything in it. It has been repaired to a very high standard and I challenge anyone to show me where it was repaired! I did mention it in the ad as I beleive in being honest. I will happly take any pictures etc to show people, I really have nothing to hide. 8) A few cars have had the odd bump etc, at least I am being upfront about it! :D
  8. Hi I am trying to sell my VR6 and its not going as well as I thought. Is it just the time of year, should I wait a month or so? Is there any other factors you guys can think of? What sort of price do you guys is reasonable for my car? I thought it was one of the better ones? http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 12&t=65204 Is it better to play the waiting game? I am in no real rush just like to get a general feel for the market. Thanks
  9. I used megs all purpose cleaner. Its great and it has some special chemical that 'brightens' or something like. Can be used on the carpets as well. Very highly recommended. Heres the stuff http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... em_guide:5

  11. Hi, bad luck on that. I did almost the exactly the same thing happened to me in May. Damaged the same parts from my bumper was ok as I hit the back of 4x4 (the wheel on the back doing all the damage) Initially they tried to write mine off but I fought it and they agreed to fix it. It took months of wrangling though. I can only say I hope you get it sorted quickly. If you have any questions I will see if I can help. I was insursed with Ensign via Brentacre.
  12. Woo! :multi: Tell me about it! I actually punched the air when I got off the phone with them. I am so glad it will live to see another day (although not with me I am sad to say). In my opnion even mentioning that it should be written off. Still all is well that ends well.
  13. After much wrangling the insurance company they have agreed to fix it. :D So it is currently being repaired and the car as a whole will be for sale soon! :(
  14. Hello Everyone I have been away from the forum for a while. I had a little bump in my VR6 a few months ago and after much wrangling with my insurance company they have agreed to pay to get the car fixed. All the damage was to the bonnet, slam panel and one headlight so not major and no damage to any internals. But its taken my love for the corrado away and my circumstances have changed recently (getting married etc). I love my corrado (this was my second one and i spent a lot of time and money on it fixing any little thing wrong with it and upgrading things) and this is my second one but in the last few months I have passed my bike test and have got into bike riding and brought myself a cheap mk3 golf run around. But now with the VR6 getting fixed I am facing the dilema of either keeping the corrado and the bike or getting rid of the corrado. I really need a car for shopping and when the weather is really to bad for riding. So I guess the corrado will be up for sale. It used to be crazymarcels car and then gradeafailures. It a 93 aqua blue, it has about 140k on the clock but with a Stealth engine rebuild about 25k ago. It also has mocal oil cooler, bmc, samco hoses, koni/H&R suspension, new bushes, goodridge brake lines, new calipers, momo steering wheel, full heated black leather, proper oil/volts meter, fk tail lights, magnex exhaust among other things. At the last MOT I even got all the advisories fixed. The engine runs sweet and with the suspension and brake works done it handles and stops well. The interior is in good conidtion and these colds morning starts are helped by it being heated! The front end is getting a respray when the new parts go on so its going to look great. So I guess my question is how much should I expect to get? I have been away from the corrado game for to long so my estimates are probably a bit out. Thanks in advance
  15. UPDATE: After a few months of no news from insurance company. They phoned up the garage that was going to do the work to agree that it was worth repairing and work could start ASAP! So glad I kept at it and didnt give in to their rubbish offers. So I am after parts now. It will be put back to a high standard and up for sale as I just brought a CBR600. So it will be sale soon. :(
  16. yep just scan as many forums as possible save the pages and send them the list, print outs if necessaryt with comments like, this has this, but mine had this and maye include the bills for the parts you have fitted, or adverts for parts, if you havent any receipts i'm sure people on here wouldnt mind scannign a few invoices and sending them through?[/quote:df2e4] Thanks I have a folder full of receipts including some rather large ones and very recent. Sent the letter just waiting for their reply now. Have I said I dont like insurance companies? If I took this amount of time to pay them they would not be happy!
  17. Hi Some of you maybe aware that my car had a bump and the insurance company have rated it cat-d. They have never seen the car. The only damage was to bonnet, slam panel, headlight and grille. They have asked for adverts of like for like cars for sale. Obviously there are not many aqua blue K reg VR6 with 130000 miles on clock but stealth rebuild, leather interior, koni/h&r etc. So how close does close have to be? Does it have to be a 93 like mine with the same mileage (within 10000 miles) or can be a newer car but with more mileage etc? I need this money and they wont let me buy the car back. They offered me £1700. Thanks
  18. It was actually after the blocking movethat he said that. The spanish media take Alonso side, the British are on Hamilitons side. Putting this aside, let the speed and composure of the dirvers do the talking. Under pressure you sure your true colours, not saying Hamilton is 100% innocent but Alonso hasnt covered himself in glory. And for his Mclaren bashing he needs to look at Mclarens history, Ron dennis has let his drivers race each other, why would he treat these drivers differently. Renault treated him like a God and he had many seasons there, he needs to prove himself again and he is not doing it well. Schumacher took a while to gel with ferrari when he left renault, but he did and he went on well. Senna had issues with Williams. It a new team, he is being a bit childish and he needs to grow up and remember he getting paid WAY WAY WAY more than Lewis so why would they scupper his chances? Said it before, if he wants the glory.......put in the results
  19. Button signed AGAIN for Honda next year, i think its more about money than a being in a competetive car. He is among the fourth highest paid guys in f1.Maybe next year they will be able to get in the upper section of the gird. Flavio will be keen to get Alonso back if he can.
  20. This thread reminds me of the conversation in my house (my wife is from Madrid). I think both countries media has taken 'their' drivers side. But the fact remains that disobeying team orders is not against the rules if it doesn not directly relate to the race. The stewards must have deemed Alonsos move to be illegal (although I am not 100% up on f1 rules), I suppose its like a slower driver ignoring the blue flags more than twice, a purposeful act to slow a rival driver. What if Massa had got in Hamilitons way and helped Raikkonen (spelling) to get by? I think Alonso is a good driver BUT he blames everyone else for the problems, he has the same car as Lewis, if he wants to be seen as the number 1 driver he needs to up his game. Beat Lewis and he will get the glory. He is a twice world champion I would hope he could raise to the challenge. He had a better chance of winning than Lewis being in for a number of years. Am I happy Lewis is winning OF COURSE!! This has been a better season than I can remember for a long time, its what F1 needs.
  21. Who were you insured with? I am in a similar situation, expect I am right at the start of my negoiations. The company told me I couldnt buy my car back which I am contesting. My broker was brentacre, insurance company was Ensign and a company called claimtek deal with all their claims. Form what I have read claimtek are a bunch of *insert rude word*. I cant believe they sold your car before you had settled. that is why they dont want me to buy my car back. Well its in a place they dont know and they are not getting there hands on my car until I am happy. keep me updated if you find anything out as I am very interested!
  22. Ensign are the insurance company and claimtek are the people dealing with the claim.
  23. Same thing happened to me, my bonnet was smashed, but my wing wasnt. The insurance company wrote my car off :( I hope you get it sorted mate I know how you feel.
