I know its a long way but for a good car I would say its worth it. I spent just under 2 hours on that back of my mates motorbike when I went to get my first corrado. Glad I did it cause it was a great car. You will have the car for longer than you will remember the inconvience of travelling a bit further. And it will work out cheaper (hopefully) in the long run!

How about this one? Looks MUCH better bet http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=54705

I have doubts it over 200bhp to be honest. Check usual things, brakes (handbrake coming up to much etc) check the sunroof etc. Let us know how the viewing goes

Depends what you mean by looked after? A bit more details, I would expect most major parts to have been replaced (bushes, supercharger renewal at least once probably coming up for another renewal, fueling parts, cooling parts etc). Saying that if it was a good car I wouldnt let it bother me. Give us some more details to go on please. Welcome to the forum as well. Corrados are an addiction, felt I should warn you!

Mine doesnt have that I believe

If you mean stains from water escaping out of the bottle, then I dont think that is normal. I could be wrong but I though the system was meant not to lose water out of the expansion bottle

Hi I want to build a basic sub box for a 12" sub until I can afford the audioscape box. I want a 1cu ft box after displacement (so about1.2 cu ft all in). Does anyone have any dimensions for a box like this? Just something simple that can go against the back of the seats (so with a sloped back) Thanks

If you dont ask you dont get, worth a shot I suppose. If they do or not is up to the supplier

When I was looking at vr6's this guy brought one from autotrader just before I could get down. I know he got for just under £3500 and a day later it was the site at over £2000 more!! It is greed. I doubt he put £2000 or even £200 of work into it

Replacement Radiator GSF VW OEM or EU?
Son of a Beesting replied to timmaaah's topic in Suppliers Forum
I got one from euro car parts and it was a metal one not copper or anything -
Agreed, clean them well, condition them etc but apart from that use them as they are meant to be used. To keep you in place while driving!

I would get a Autowatch 160Rli (or something like that)

It depends what you want, Jap aint everything. And certainly not as nice looking as the corrado (in a muscular way). Power isnt everything either. By all means try them, and in a year or so when you come back I am sure you will be welcomed! If you really set on it do it, its only a car at the end of the day and its better to regret something you done than something you didnt (most of the time anyway!) Good luck with what ever you decide.

Ive owned about 8 cars and only 2 of those werent VW. One of the non vw was cause my car got stolen and I needed something urgently to get me around so go the first thing that came up cheap. My last car was a nissan 200sx s14a. Newer, faster etc etc but it wasnt near as much fun as the corrado. So i sold it and im back again. My corrado has been off the road while I repair/replace parts on it. I wouldnt say people here have vag blinkers on, we all know and admit the faults with the corrado. But at the end of the day its about having fun where you can and the corrado delivers that.

WHICH KEY QUESTIONS should be asked when buying an ENGINE
Son of a Beesting replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in Engine Bay
You can do a HPI on it, which will tell if its been in an accident but wont specify what happened i believe -
Going to sound stupid but did the bodyshop disconnect anything? The fuel pump fuse gone? Have you checked the fuses?
-
Thats terrible, really sorry for you.
-
Are you sure the battery is fine? The VR6 requires more juice than a four pot to turn it over enough to spark
-
Thats beautiful, rather one of those on my drive than a BMW
-
If its not heated leather then easy job
